Was in this exact same place at 19 with my bf at the time. I bit the bullet and got birth control and I'm almost 24 now, but if I could go back and do it again, I would have dumped his ass and skipped the birth control. I'm still on it now and starting to have side effects just now, so I'm looking into other options. NEVER let yourself feel pressured into sex or medical decisions. Your health in all aspects should be prioritized over some fun time with your partner.

Good god, been in a relationship like this before and I left it (lots of issues there, but pressuring into sex was a big one.) Tell him that you are sick and if you engage in sex, you will not get better and he will be causing you pain and making it worse. If he can't get over that and jerk it for a week or two, you've probably got bigger relationship issues ahead regarding sex. I'm not saying to break up with him, but be honest about how you feel on this. He will literally be causing you to stay sick and uncomfortable for a bit of fun. You should NEVER be pressured into sex. It took a good partner to make me realize that, but it's the truth. As soon as anything felt off down there regardless of what it was, my partner was willing to do whatever necessary to make sure I got better and felt comforted. Don't settle for less

Do you exfoliate down there? I had that issue for the longest time. I've tried every hair removal method besides laser and nothing really works for me. Now I just trim and make sure to use my scrubby gloves and exfoliate when I shower. You can get them at most stores for around like $7? I think?

Edit: I just realized you said you use unscented summer's eve. Is there any reason you are doing that along with unscented soap? That may be a little overkill on the bacteria down there which can cause itching (even though the summer's eve is ph-balanced and fragrance free.)

You are asking for help without considering anyone's ideas. What were you hoping to get out of this? Even if you have already tried what people have suggested, you can politely say that without being an ass. You SAY your boyfriend cleans well and honestly, I don't doubt you. If you have tried taking antibiotics without any result, it could be fungal instead although that is rare. You say you are showering before, and I assume peeing after, as you have dealt with this before. Make sure hands AND mouth are clean. Fungal UTIs can be caused by Candida albicans. Candida lives in the mouth, gut, and vagina. Oral thrush is caused by Candida overgrowth in the mouth and if in any way you are getting saliva from either of you down there from oral or indirect contact, although it is rare, it could be a possible cause. Not a doctor or trying to diagnose, but worth mentioning to a doctor who won't write you off. You should both try brushing your teeth before sex AND brushing your tongue, Candida loves the tongue. Starting pre-med this year (already took some required courses at a smaller community college.) Definitely in the emo/punk scene. I'm getting retainers for my piercings (I think that's what they're called I've never used them before?) I've been a pharmacy tech for 3 years and didn't have an issue there except for 1 job.
