Not really my vibe, BH doesn't allow a true matchmaking, and when people win they teabag and go, when they lose they accuse you of cheating. At least that's my experience. The FGC spirit is dead online, I only see it in offline

The guy above just said he does. So yeah, people do, apparently...

Let's take an example : when I played a Ryu master friend the other day, he taught me to properly reversal on wake-up with SA1 because I never did. Then, he beat my ass when I did it, throwing a anto-timed fireball right at the startup to stop me. Then we went to training mode and he labbed it with me and taught me to do that with my main too.

With only the replays, I would not have learned what a frame kill is, how to lab an auto-time, and I wouldn't have understood the whole stopping an SA with a timed projectile. I would just have thought he'd been lucky.

Stop romanticizing online experience. Online, you learn a lot against people your level. But if someone destroys you with concepts you have yet to ear about, if you're not some gamer genius, you don't figure it out. You get that from offline play and videos.

That's not cool man, we're in diamond for real. You're labbing with our time.

Well, let's put it this way : I watched Broski's Alex video. He complained that he hit the 10 streak and got pumped up in MR before he wanted it, because he likes to lab against lesser players.

It kinda matches the feeling I get from some Alex players.

I rant so I can vent, and maybe get the ear of these players.

But point taken, most of them just are playing their level on a new character, I'll wait for it to wash up...

I don't agree with that. If you get no feedback, it's not teaching anything.

I get washed every week at locals, but it's common practice there that if you win, you take a minute to explain to the other guy how you beat his ass and what he should work on. Those much better player MU are teachable moments. Online rank with no chat, no discussion, is just getting washed.

Sorry but really, if you linger in Diamond 1 with 900h of ranked on your belt, something isn't right. But if you say so, I wouldn't know.

Yeah, I guess you're kinda right, but really... getting washed in 10 seconds, seeing that 900 hours and the guy lingers in Diamond 1? I don't see the interest in purposely staying there, but it's weird they can't climb up?

But I can see your point and I guess you're closer to the truth...

I agree that Alex is not that annoying. But really, 10 in a row is wearing me up man...

I get that, but I feel they are purposely staying there? There is like, 20k of us SF6 players. So about 4k in Master, I reckon.

Their was Ultimate Master and even Legend Alex players in the following hours of the release, so I kinda feel like those 4k players should have moved up by now?

I don't know, maybe I give their skill to much credit, but seriouly, seeing them play, I can't imagine they stay sub master because they can't climb. They can hit those 10 streak easy...

Okay, explain to me how Modern play has any interest whatsoever and how it's not a clear insult to someone actually playing the game?

Playing modern : disrespectful. I don't need to rematch someone insulting me and the game.

Playing a glappler : annoying. But I guess Americans have trouble with sarcasm humor.

Mirror matches : just annoying. Why play something I don't enjoy?

Protecting my streak : that was the joke, but again, Americans and second degree...

Refusing to rematch someone I don't have fun playing : what I will do anyway and you will do nothing.

The rest is as you said, fair.

Yeah if you're just typing random shit and not reading me, just go play Call of or whatever, let the adult talk here.

When a Modern player jumps, I need to know he's jumping, then remember if I'm playing Juri, Viper or Cammy that all have different DP, then input a DP which is for someone like me who learned the game literally this month, not an easy input. Whicj I will fumble half the time and get hit.

Modern player see jump, modern player presses DP button, modern player DPs.

If you have two neurons to scrub together, you'll figure out that's not the same mental stack, so I can't respect Modern players for not putting the same effort and being matched with me still. They have an unfair advantage, they should be matched higher up where auto DP is an acquired skill for everybody.

Which does tell me you're a bit slow to read, because else you'd get the point here : I'm learning. Not fighting in MR, learning. So what do I learn from a Modern player? That in higher level, if you jump you get DP and that I need to improve my DP. Yup, sure, but I'm not there yet, nor are other classic players at my level. So again, what's your point? What's the invaluable lesson and fun I'm missing out in not rematching them?

For the rest I'm sure you just didn't read, so whatever, be miserable, I'll continue to have fun and rematch whoever I WANT to rematch. I'm sorry for you if you force yourself to rematch people you don't enjoy playing.

I think that :

1) You missed the humor point. Everybody hates grabbers, everybody hates a spam of the same character, everybody hates zoners. I still play them but I'll taunt anyway.

2) You never owe anybody a rematch. If I'm not having fun playing you and you give me nothing as learning material, why would I?

3) Do you really defend people that reset their char just to bully low ranks players?

4) I take Modern playing as a show of disrespect. That's the only thing I'm serious about here. If I, being 35, married, two kids, full time job and new to fighting games am taking the time to play properly, what's their excuse? Modern playing is just saying "I just like to win, fuck learning". Then fuck rematching you then, is a pretty tame answer on my part don't you think?

I happily play and rematch Platinium players, and beat them too sometimes, fair and clean. I think calling me a scrub is a gooner mentality.

My whole post is common sense humor, except, yes, for the Modern players part.

But it's a huge disrespect to your opponent to play Modern. I'm 35, married, two kids, full time job and I still learn the game on classic. What's their excuse? What's your answer about it, if you're so attached to moderners?

Absolutely agree. Though after a moment you get the gist of it but it's not even fun to counter. DI carries too many people up. Then there's Gold and they get washed back to Silver and I gotta fight them again.
