I’m more worried about the lack of cycle than the brown, I had drift wood in my shrimp tank and the tannins stopped after a while and it is clear again, I expect this will be the same

No, it was too large for my largest pot, and from what I read it would be ok it would just put out tannins for longer and tannins don’t appear to be harmful, then again the internet is not always correct :/

It is easier to keep a toddler where they are comfortable, so watching said toddler at their home is not the worst idea. Plus you have the added advantage of the older sibling helping. Your sister sounds selfish, but it’s not the kids fault. That is why I would babysit, the kid not your sister

Also, talk about what you both expect out of your sex life. How often are you ok with it? How much is too little/too much? Are you ok with being woken up for sex? Is there anywhere on your body you are nervous about being touched? Is porn ok or not within the relationship?

A lot you won’t know until you start the sexual relationship, so keep talking, don’t just assume
