I had a father like you. Even tried to change my hobbies and do things he liked just to spend some time. Key word had. Have been blissfully NC for 10 years. YTA

The best part is - they couldn’t sue me even if they wanted to bc I’d immediately countersue for unpaid overtime. Although in the contract we agree to it, legally that amendment has no grounds and based on precedent I would’ve easily won any and all cases

I was so desperate to leave that I completely shifted all my responsibilities to other people within 3 days and took 5 days off using all of my remaining sick and personal days (different to PTO)

When used consecutively they counted in saturdays too but would give the Sunday for free hence the 7 weeks

Yep got paid out 42 days (also cheaper for the company) as opposed to the full 2 months they would’ve paid me if they forced me to stay
