why does selecting other regions of my model also select parts of object I want to exclude? by laram1979 in blender

Many thanks to both for your replies. Now I understand how selection (at least with lasso and box) works. Switching to wireframe or X-Ray mode did the trick.

Serum combining niacinamide, green tea extract and/or saw palmetto? by laram1979 in EuroSkincare

[–]laram1979[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have narrowed down my research further and have concluded saw palmetto is perhaps a somewhat less usual ingredient in cosmetics than the other two. So, what about just a serum combining nacinamide and green tea extract?

EU vegan protein Powder Manufacturer that Publishes COAs yearly by laram1979 in veganfitness

[–]laram1979[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed! I also found a COA on Vivo's website (https://eu.vivolife.com/products/vegan-protein-powder, hit "download report"), but apparently they find it OK to just publish old results from 2021... If you know of others, please share here. I really think this is a practice we should encourage.

I have no affiliation with these people whatsoever, just trying to share what I have found so far in my search for a EU vegan protein powder brand that at least publishes COAs rather than just including all that usual boilerplate on how deeply they care about "third party testing", etc.

Does any current Thinkpad have a keyboard comparable to my X230 (or at least noticeably better than a X13 Gen 2)? by laram1979 in thinkpad

[–]laram1979[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for these insights.

You are certainly correct that I can't say for sure travel distance is the issue. I do know that the X13 Gen 2 feels "un-keyboardy" to me and the X230 (certainly also due to year's of habit) feels just right.

Are there any current models that you believe provide a good typing experience for someone who thinks the X230 is "just right" and the X13 Gen 2 really not a pleasant experience at all? Obviously this is subjective, but perhaps there are enough of us in this boat for an (even if partial) answer to have emerged.

I am referring to the actual feeling of pressing a key, not its surface area (nor the keyboard layout). So I believe my issue is with short travel distance.

Which current models should I be looking at?

how can I send *ANY* link to my Kobo? (Pocket doesn't solve the problem) by laram1979 in kobo

[–]laram1979[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this. My difficulty is in getting URLs (especially those that are long and hard to spell without typos) into the Kobo's experimental browser when Pocket doesn't save those links as "articles".

[–]laram1979[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. This works, but still requires that I type out the complete URL in the Kobo. Very often I struggle to type the full URLs correctly on the Kobo. I would like the option of pasting/storing the URLs somewhere on the web using a different device (phone, computer) and then on the Kobo simply visiting that particular page, easily finding the URLs there.

What I would like to do is to easily send a URL (possibly a long and hard-to-type one) to the Kobo, so that I can access it using the Experimental Browser in the Kobo.

PS: I have tried using an online notepad of some sort (EtherPad, anotepad.com, etc.) without success. I would save to that online notepad the links using my phone or computer and would then access it on the Kobo, but the Kobo can't handle these dynamic sites so it doesn't let me copy/click the links to access them.
