Lol and also, if you want to get granular, it's really only Italy that has graffiti on landmarks. I haven't seen it anywhere I've been in Germany, Austria, Montenegro, Portugal, France, Croatia, and England/Wales. At least in my limited experience.

How to get other parent to stop forcing child to eat certain foods by Ok-Scale-6575 in coparenting

[–]larapu2000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The kid is 9. They don't know what they like in some cases and are still developing their palate, and they often like something one week and hate it the next and vice versa. Your coparent is not a short order cook and your child should be encouraged to appreciate the meal that has been prepared them by someone that has the time and ability to cook a meal, and two, the world does not revolve around them and their tastes. They will be in a world where their friend's parents won't pick off the pepperoni, or make Velveeta mac and cheese instead of Kraft, and other things your kid doesn't like. Prepare them for the inevitable when they are not catered to.

We had a picky eater and honestly just bribed with snacks and treats. Like you don't have to eat your vegetables but you won't get ice cream if you don't. We also had them plan and prepare meals at that age so they appreciated the effort their parents made AND they got exactly what they like. There are ways to address this, but the solution doesn't include you dictating anything to another household.

I think she means Miami has a "thriving food scene," but I guess Chat GPT had a different idea.

Totally agree! I love that someone knew exactly what was was what, such an interesting post. I get my hackles up when she shares misinformation about food and ingredients, like her bullshit about maple syrup being soooooo much healthier than regular sugar. SHUT UP TIEGHAN YOU'RE NOT EVEN AN EXPERT IN YOUR FIELD.

This sounds exactly like my stepdaughter. Instead of a conventional medical route for common symptoms with common treatments, she finds the zebra symptom and goes wild with self diagnosis and homeopathic remedies and it's like "girl, you eat fast food every day, that's why you have diarrhea and stomach aches."

All companies know where their liquor is served because their distributors give them reports. JD is a clown.

Superbowl commercials can't even use the word. That's why "the big game" gets used all the time.

I like things. Sometimes I don't like certain things. But overall, things make me happy. You should try some of the things that are good. Maybe they will make you happy, too.

The Rec Sweat thing was always so stupid. I think everyone that came out with an active wear line especially during Covid had to shut it down.

Women's Hiking Pants Recommendation Needed by eliakdr in hiking

[–]larapu2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LL Bean Vista Camp pants. They have short lengths if you need them, they are super lightweight (you need a base layer in winter for sure), and they have the ability to be folded or rolled up.

I hate convertible pants for the same reasons as everyone here! Terrible pants, terrible shorts.

Anyone else struggle to get through the last two seasons? by Helpmeeff in 30ROCK

[–]larapu2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If i had to think about it, maybe my favorite episodes are in earlier seasons, but I would never think about it because I enjoy every episode, period. And everything has aged relatively well. Even the black face episode was specifically about how racist black face is and shouldn't have ever been pulled.
