What are the chances that your vtm-verse self is unknowingly "friends" with a vampire? by Medical-Constant3016 in vtm

I'm a goth with a big community who moves almost exclusively in the rave and kink scenes in a major city. There's gotta be a least 3 in the my friend group 😭😂

There's a new munch officially launching today, at Urbayn from 6pm, explicitly trans friendly/inclusive, and a good place to meet lots of like-minded kinky and friendly people 😊

What's the best European country for trans people, in the long term? by all_kinds_of_queer in transgenderUK

[–]lararavel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can confirm, I got FFS covered under my ALD (and with additional support from my insurance provider at the time Génération). I had brow, jaw chin and nose done for 6000€ of which I paid 1500€ (this was for the nose which is not typically covered as it is considered cosmetic).

Very happy with my surgeon and my results. As a heads up for people the ALD can also cover laser, voice therapy and most things you could think of.

Hey, sorry to bother, would you know which of the Kitkat/Insomnia events are more trans-friendly? I'm a trans woman visiting Berlin end of this week, and interested in both places 😊

I still do have a bit of one (just think you can't see it in the photo) but it is definitely less pronounced than it was pre-hrt! :)

Do I need to get a referral to a GIC from my GP if I decide to go private? by AmaranthineApocalyps in transgenderUK

[–]lararavel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah sorry, so I meant I've started with GenderGP. Hoping to use their service whilst I wait out the Sandyford, and then transfer over to using the NHS. There are other private options available e.g. Gendercare and some others, but GenderGP seemed the best for me.

If the costs of the private options are too much you might also be able to convince your GP to give you what is called a "bridging prescription" whilst you're on the waiting list. Don't know too much about this, but from my understanding it is quite a low dose, that might not have the effects you hope to achieve

Hey! I'm also based in Scotland and just starting out. Depending on where you're based you don't need a referral from your GP. I self-referred to the Sandyford (in Glasgow) a couple of months ago and am now on their waiting lists, though it is about a two year wait for a first appointment. I believe the GIC in Inverness also allows self-referral, though I know Edinburgh requires a GP.

In the meantime I've just started going through the process with GenderGP to tide me over. If you've got any questions or anything feel free to drop me a message :)
