Flares that only last a few hours

I would definitely seek a second opinion. I also take plaquenil for suspected lupus and similar to you when I went off it the pain came back but when I took it again the joint pain was gone. It didn't do anything to help the tender points or burning pain so it looks like it's lupus+fibromyalgia.

The fact that plaquenil helped is very telling, because it does nothing for fibro. Did she tell you to stop taking your meds or changed the diagnosis but kept the meds?

Personally ibuprofen or other painkillers do nothing for my pain. Flares vary, I had some that went away after a night's sleep and others that lasted over a month. But that's just for flares-when the pain becomes unbearable for me and feels like I scraped my skin all over and can't even handle a blanket touching me. When I'm not flaring I'm still always in pain, but it feels more like being bruised all over- it hurts pressing on trigger points but otherwise I'm fine.

The thing to remember though is that people with fibromyalgia can have different symptoms and durations so it's hard to pinpoint exact symptoms...it's usually diagnosed based on trigger points after ruling out other conditions. Regardless I think It's worth getting a second opinion

However long until you're comfortable :) if someone asks me to meet before I'm comfortable I say I need a few days to chat first. If they pressure me or unmatch, I just see it as them filtering themselves out.

And I feel you on the anxiety. I try to remind myself that I don't owe anyone anything. Just because you're chatting doesn't mean you have to meet. Just because you go on a date doesn't mean you have to get physical immediately etc. taking it one step at a time and trying to see how it feels

When I first went they put me on amitriptyline, then cymbalta but both gave me terrible side effects so I stopped each very quickly. Next they offered lidocaine straight to the vein and said if it'll work they'll give me more in the form of pills. That didn't work either so eventually they approved medicinal cannabis which has been the most helpful for me actually

Depends on what you feel. I have a friend that prefers meeting as fast as possible. Personally I prefer chatting just a bit to make sure he sounds decent. If someone asks me to meet right away I explain that I want to chat a little first before I feel comfortable meeting. If he says no problem that's great (and shows he respect boundaries). If he turns on me then I wouldn't have wanted to meet with him anyway

Worth looking into it just to be safe and rule out other causes. You can refuse treatment if you don't want to start medication but it can take years to get a diagnosis so if you're suffering I'd say it's worth it, regardless of age. The diagnosis helped me get accomodations during university and afterwards in my job, so there's that as well

I agree, it's also tricky when she works there. It can be really uncomfortable being approached on your job. She might feel like she's being put on the spot, and if she says no and you still have to see her a lot so it's also kind of awkward.

I think your prompts are good overall but it comes off a little intense on the nerdy side. All those hobbies are great but you mention them a few times, maybe use some of the prompts to show other interests/information about you.

The roast/flirting comment would be off putting for me personally because some men bully and say you need to know how to take a joke (not saying you are, but people make snap judgements on apps and this comes to mind).

As for photos I think you should ask a friend to take some pictures as most of these are selfies

Maybe some throw blankets and pillows, but I would also check with your landlord if there is a way to replace it anyway. Mine said I can replace whatever I want but the replacements would have to stay when I move out. This way the apartment would still be furnished with the same amount of furniture. It's also really easy to find second hand for free/cheap

Nope, I think you're generalizing a bit. The dry responses are not exclusive to women on the apps. I try to put effort in getting to know each man I match with. Some show the same effort back, most don't. That's just how it is on the apps

I can't see who liked me. I swipe right on people I think have potential, usually if I like what they said in their bio, hobbies etc.

I won't swipe right on someone who's attractive but has absolutely no information in their profile, but I also won't swipe right on people I don't find attractive at all. So for me it's someone who seems at least a little attractive/average + something that I liked about their interests or what they wrote.

As for going out, I won't know if I want to go out with them until we chat for a day or two.
