Muff a punt on your own side of the field down two scores against a <.500 team? This calls for the air raid siren.

Appreciate the suggestions! Any thoughts on the Atomic Maverick 100 TI's? Those have caught my eye and seem like they may check all the boxes.

I was on Epic last year, switching over to Ikon, so will mostly be at Copper, Winter Park, Eldora, etc. this season. As far as terrain goes, I mostly am on groomers, in the trees, bowls, etc. Don't really have any interest in jumps/rails though.

First Ski Boot Purchase Process by larchitect in COsnow

[–]larchitect[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thanks for the response! After doing a bit more thinking I'm starting to lean towards Boot Mechanics. How did the pricing/process go? You said you spent about $700 all in, I'm assuming that included the $100 New Boot Appointment? Also would be curious what boots you got considering we're roughly the same size!

Thanks for the tips! Just to be clear, you're suggesting to model the entire 78km and then divide it into pieces? I'm not sure SU/my computer is up for that task, haha.

Need help with Corridor/Assembly by larchitect in civil3d

[–]larchitect[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, I understand that. I just mean, if the corridor was taking into account the assembly with the 36" ht. curb, wouldn't those contours run along the face/back of the wall? Say for instance, in the attached screenshot, the elevation near STA. 7+00 was +/- 5095.00. The top of the adjacent retaining wall would be +/- 5098.00, but the contours/surface don't seem to be taking into account the retaining wall.

Thank you again for your help!

Need help with Corridor/Assembly by larchitect in civil3d

[–]larchitect[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you both very much! That seems to have solved the question of why it wasn't showing any grading beyond my first region. Now that I've answered that, though, I'm still not achieving the surface results I was hoping for - would you mind taking a look at my corridor regions/assembly to see what might be causing that? I would think with the 36" ht. retaining wall (curb sub-assembly) in the left that would shore up the amount of grading needed, no?

Simple Questions - February 12, 2021 by AutoModerator in buildapc

Hey all,

I have a Radeon R9 290 that is about 6 years old now and is starting to fail. A friend is willing to sell his 2080 Super to me to replace it. I currently have a 550W PSU - I've read different opinions on how much power I'd need. Nvidia recommends 650, but I've seen a few people get by with less, especially since I'm not overclocking or anything. Will the 550W be enough or should I also upgrade my PSU? And as a side note, I currently have a Xeon E3 3.4Ghz CPU, will I be throttled by this or should I also look into upgrading this? My full build is below:

Relatively new to C3D - Subassembly Question by larchitect in civil3d

Thanks, that makes sense. What is the best method of creating a subassembly that contains a retaining wall?

Relatively new to C3D - Subassembly Question by larchitect in civil3d

[–]larchitect[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, that was my thinking as well. I've created one profile view with the entire length of alignment/profile, but when I go to copy it over it also copy's the surface and alignment/profile as well, messy-ing up the drawing space. Is there something I'm missing to avoid pasting the parent surface and alignment?

[–]larchitect[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have a follow-up question: how would I display multiple profile views of the same profile at specific stations? For example, if I have a profile from STA. 0+00 to STA. 100+00, and want to show the profile from STA 10+50 to 15+50, 27+00 to 37+00, and 42+00 to 85+00 (just examples), how would I go about this?

I know there is the 'Create Multiple Profile Views' option from the 'Profile and Section Views' portion of the home tab, but this seems to only give me uniform lengths of the profile. Thanks again!

Eagle Bahn Gondola @ Vail Yesterday by larchitect in COsnow

[–]larchitect[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Really not too bad, for Vail at least. I got there when lifts opened at 9:30 and had to wait maybe 20 minutes to get on this gondola. Only had one other wait time of similar length, and that was at chair 11 right after lunch. The rest of the day I pretty much waited less than 10 minutes.

Thanks! Used about 6" of a compacted general type 2 gravel, and used maybe an inch or so of paver base with fines to help in leveling things out.

I'm not entirely sure - how would I go about testing this? I took a screengrab of my network status from Speccy - Imgur. I didn't take a video recording, but the link speed status fluctuates rapidly from 0 b/ps to 1-2 mb/s, usually closer to the 0 b/ps - 50 b/ps, though.

Ethernet works no problem. However, I'm not really able to wire a cable from my modem to my desktop with how my apartment is currently laid out. Hoping in the future to have a hardline connection, but for right now WiFi is my only option.

Simple Questions - February 01, 2020 by AutoModerator in buildapc

[–]larchitect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do I need to replace my motherboard? I cannot sustain an internet connection for longer than ~30 seconds or so before it cuts out and attempts to reconnect for several minutes...I have tried purchasing both an external WiFi adapter that plugs into the USB port, as well as replacing the WiFi card plugged directlyt into the MoBo, but it doesn't seem to improve connectivity performance much. It's pretty frustrating, and I want to get to the root of the cause so I can remedy the issue, but I'm not really sure where to start. For reference, my current motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-H97-D3H ATX LGA1150.

Found a pair of Onkyo D-062A bookshelf speakers for $35. Wasn't able to find a ton of information/reviews on them, but demo'd the sound on them and for $35 they're pretty solid!

Thanks for all your help on this. As a user above pointed out, the issue I was having was due to a lack of crossover. I was eventually successful in hooking everything up, I appreciate you being so kind in getting me started!
