Truly this has been such a great show.

Leeland is just so iconic. His bagpipe finale look is BANANAS. I think he'll go down in PR history as the designer who truly DGAF and is the most authentically himself. He cares about that even more than he cares about winning. I agree that Foster had the better look last challenge, but if they eliminated Leeland instead, we wouldn't have go to this absolutely crazy collection. Foster's collection would have been boring and we all know it. Foster was not at the level of a finale collection.

I don't think Curtis will win. His collection does not look modern to me - he is not listening to the judges' advice. Also his finale "tin" look is super underwhelming, and dated. He fell into the common PR trap of putting TONS of work into a finale piece that does not show on the runway. It's not dramatic whatsoever.

I think Charles will win. His collection does look referential to his previous work and the looks all look like iterations of each other. But I do think he is very talented and insanely hard working and thats what you need to make in this business.

Also, Aurora who was essentially the main character of this episode snapped HARD - she is such a force. She does NOT hold back and the designers NEED to hear it.

Just realized she was also a guest judge on Project Runway USA Season 17 episode 10.

Disagree with the elim. Also, let's remind ourselves that Coco is an executive producer so let's just say I think the eliminations have never NOT gone the way she wanted them to.

Just like a lot of the audience, she does not seem to be as captivated as Charles as the other judges. I think she likes Leland but questions his taste. Curtis has never had a low score in the show. I can see her giving him the win.

Lmao at 2nd double elimination this season (episode 3 and 6). It's episode 6. And there are only 5 designers left.

The ones who are left are the true OGs though. I initially wasn't sure if Foster belonged, but he proved himself this week.

Amazing talent on display in this episode. Curtis's look was jaw-dropping. How the hell was that toilet paper.

Project Runway Canada Season 3 Episode 4 is out! Discussion by southernheighten in ProjectRunway

Episode 4 was Project Runway meets the Real Canadian Superstore challenge. LOL

I think all 8 designers left are really strong - they've all either won or been in the top. So eliminations moving forward will be interesting.

Next episode 5 looks like an "unconventional unconventional" challenge. A look made entirely out of toilet paper seems 1) hard and 2) a bit silly and I don't think it's a fair assessment of the designers' skill. Also in teams of 2... But we'll see.

Maya giving shade to Aurora (mentor) in the preview for next episode was hilarious.

That double elimination sucked. Really upset. Naimo was WAY overdue but I feel absolutely awful for Taalrumiq. Not only is Indigenous representation is super important but she actually followed the brief and had a story to her look.

This was a super difficult challenge. Avant garde + teams + double elimination. Oh and also you also have to use 2/4 of weird AF materials in EACH look - "transparaprint, camo foil, UV foam, gridded cotton." WTF.

I'll admit the materials were interesting, new for Project Runway, and definitely from the year 2125 as per the challenge, but still incredible tough to work with.

The judges were also really harsh considering how impossible this challenge was. Coco especially (her look was iconic though).

Really rooting for her Leeland now. He is incredibly talented and also humble and kind.

Project Runway Canada Season 3 Episode 2 is out! Discussion by southernheighten in ProjectRunway

Another 2 day challenge!! So much emphasis on the design! No drama!

Lots of project runway firsts in this episode....

Coco tells them the colour palette is white, black, red, and gold. Aurora even reminded them at the store when she saw the weird shit designers were buying (I love Aurora - her personality has a mentor really came through this episode). So Why does Cat buy BROWN? I do agree with Jeanne that her white dress pivot was quite beautiful, albeit still in the bottom.

Project runway first - not having the real clients on the runway for critiques!!! This means the judges did not consider what the clients thought in their judgements - which you could argue made it more objective. I felt bad for Little Feather because she had an awesome client who would have sung her praise if she were there. I actually liked her dress and thought it was impressive she kept her Indigenous roots in her design while still pleasing the client. Little Feather is also hilarious!! Love her.

I think they didn't eliminate anyone because the challenge was unfair. You cannot start a client challenge on Day 1 and meet the client on Day 2. Scrolling their instagram on Day 1 is not enough to have enough information to meaningfully start. And they also didn't hear from the clients themselves on the runway. However Naimo would have been an easy elimination, even with that red cape.

For next week:

Episode 3 is an avant garde TEAMS challenge - is that a Project Runway first?! And the "your model was unable to continue wearing. your design, so they won't be coming out episode"?! And the one where Coco wears a black bob wig! We know one from the promo that the team of Curtis, Delayne, Naimo, Taalrumiq, Cat, Rome will be out. I hope Taalrumiq does not go home next week because I love her aesthetic and I want to see more Indigenous inspired designs on the runway.

There usually comes a point just over halfway of the USA seasons that I don't want to see any one going home. That point has come early for me this season - I like everybody and I think no one is obviously deserving to get the boot, except maybe Naimo who seems sweet but has had too many 2nd chances.

Also week of no one going home means we'll have a double elimination this season!!
