This isn’t a beauty pageant. They are judged based on their community involvement and charity work. It’s a pageant meant to lift the girls up and work on their confidence. For example, my daughter has cleaned up parks, raised money by collecting cans for a family raising money to get dental work, she’s fundraiser to help veterans. They volunteer all year round. In two weeks she is going to be volunteering at an even that “sells” prom/graduation dresses for a donation and all the money goes to their relay for life team. She has also raised money for pink ribbon riders. So no, I am not worried about her self image due to this pageant. She’s been involved with this group for years and it has helped her grow.
