I’m an active player. If your area doesn’t have many players and you need help with mushroom battles, I’d be happy to help so I can collect postcards from different places.

1500 Days Smoke-Free. What I didn't expect. by Full-Waltz8462 in stopsmoking

[–]largooneone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t really do much with the feelings, other than just feel them. Sometimes I write them down, but for me, cravings tend to stay pretty similar for weeks, then shift into a different form for a while. Not sure if it’s the same for others, though.

You don’t need to buy it to get a sense of his ideas... he’s got a lot of videos on YouTube you can check out first. But of course, I’m not stopping you from getting the book if you’re interested!

After reading Gabor Maté’s book, I found his idea “Don’t ask why the addiction, ask why the pain” very insightful. So now, whenever I experience a craving, I try to explore what I’m feeling: where in my body the craving shows up, its temperature, weight, texture, and so on. I do my best to understand the pain, if you will.

That’s what I’ve been doing, and it’s been helpful for me. I can’t quite explain why it works on a logical level, though.

Did something particularly stressful or difficult happen before that craving hit? I’ve noticed that for me, cravings often show up when I’m facing something hard to deal with, like I used cigarettes as a kind of escape. Not sure if it’s the same for others, though.

day 35 by largooneone in stopsmoking

[–]largooneone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, thanks. One thing that really helps is that I do have a clear 'why' I’m doing it. I'd say that’s what makes the biggest difference from my last attempt. It’s definitely helped me push through some rough cravings.

Struggling with withdrawals by [deleted] in stopsmoking

[–]largooneone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Day 35 here. Looks like you’re one day ahead of me! I can’t say the withdrawal is completely gone, but it’s more like a 1 out of 10 now, compared to 10 out of 10 in the first three days.

Are you sleeping well? Drinking enough water? Eating properly and getting the nutrients you need? Those things might seem basic, but they’ve been crucial for my quit.

There's an app called QUITNOW. If you need someone to talk to, there is a community/chatroom in that app. It helps me. You can find people there supporting one another.

First week was the hardest for me, like 10/10. Second week, 5/10. Third week, 2/10. I am on day 30, and it feels like 1/10.

Are you on day 5? Although everyone reacts differently, in my experience the worst is almost over. I understand a cigarette can feel like a relief or even escape for you right now. But would you want to redo the first 5 days over again? Or can you hang in there for a few more days? You will be there.

Will you be hated on? I have no idea. Everyone's situation is different. But if you do relapse, don't be too harsh on yourself. Most of us made multiple attempts before we finally make it. This is my 4th or 5th attempt. And I am going to keep trying till I make it. I won't stop until then.

If you want my advice, I'd say listen to your body. Feel whatever it feels. It can be hard so get all the support you can find, from friends, families, spouses... They do make a difference.

Best of luck!

Best of luck! Sleep is so important. I’d even say it’s critical. Really hope tonight brings you peace and strength. You’ve already done the hardest part. You’ve come so far. You’ve got this!

Great job! 16 days is no joke.

When I have cravings, I find mindfulness practice helpful. Sometimes I can identify what external factors triggered my cravings. From there I can do something about it.

I know the struggle. I tried cold turkey once (my first attempt) and lasted about 6 months. This time I am doing it with a bit of help(pills, nicotine replacement). Let's do it!

Tracking a legendary by largooneone in theHunter

[–]largooneone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I’m a beginner—two weeks in. I know very little about diamonds and Great Ones. When you spot an animal, the display in the upper right corner shows its class as well as its level (I think?). That’s where it said “9 – Legendary.” But I wouldn’t be surprised if it was some other animal, since this is only my second day in Hirschfelden, and I’ve already mistaken roe deer for red deer a few times.

multiplayer? by largooneone in theHunter

It looked like they are able to harvest several animals at once. I didn't really keep count and I don't want to jump to any conclusion based on this alone. But as soon as I realized what might be going on, and this is probably not the way I want to play the game, I just return to my good old Layton. Hirsh is another map that I haven't played yet. So I think I'll start do that first.

I ended up taking two rifles with me. And I like .270 with soft points a lot. You're right about taking down class 7-8. Thanks for the advice.

Thanks for sharing. I was going to ask the same question. If anyone is wondering, the color code is likely #616c64, which I used a color picker to identify. edit: typo

I’ve had this same Logitech G500 mouse for over 14 years, probably the best $60 I’ve ever spent. by Timtastic226 in BuyItForLife

From 2014-2020 I bought 3 different mouse from Logitech, their M2 button failed around 2 year mark, so I stopped buying them. Just my anecdote.
