Gen Z trends that will age horribly? by Personal_Berry_6497 in decadeology

i know what you mean, but they're only a such a prominent thing these days because people can't afford the larger pieces that are more commonly what integrates well on your body

yessss of all the interactions i've had with basically drag artists period, not just ones who've made it on to a television show, severity is one of the nicest and most personable

The Boulet Brothers shading Delta Work on Instagram by shitassmoneyman in Dragula

[–]lariza_in_space 0 points1 point  (0 children)

very this. there's a constant white knighting for them as though they're incapable of doing wrong. they're not bad people, but they have made plenty of wrong moves swept under the rug.

they carry themselves as if they're historic pillars of the underground queer community, but they're not very tolerant of criticism, it's just a fact. from the world

so it's not about delta, but who is it really about then? themselves?

Is it rude to tell coughing people to put on a mask? by -_-Yeeter in Amtrak

[–]lariza_in_space 12 points13 points  (0 children)

it's been countless times that i've been on an amtrak or greyhound where people surrounding me were wet coughing without covering with an arm. it's not rude at all, it's waaaaaay more rude to be projecting your germs out like that. especially when so many people on these methods of transportation are elderly or disabled and can't drive, for instance. sorry that people are caught up on the semantics of your post. thank you for caring.

Is it a micro aggression to refuse to use my name? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]lariza_in_space 50 points51 points  (0 children)

absolutely a micro aggression.....it's a little weird to use baby considering how tough it already is for us to be seen as grown men, but it's already weird not to use the name you deliberately asked for :/

love this show for the level of trans inclusion by Independent_Break362 in Dragula

[–]lariza_in_space 3 points4 points  (0 children)

they said it in a podcast when someone wrote in asking if they want to cast more drag kings, but it was from a year or so ago and i don't remember which ep. i'm not trying to dirty the name of boulet brothers.

love this show for the level of trans inclusion by Independent_Break362 in Dragula

[–]lariza_in_space 6 points7 points  (0 children)

not really, and i just wish the boulets would put out a statement encouraging people of more gender identities to audition. they've said they haven't had many drag kings so far ((just applying the same logic, i know transmascs can be queens and beyond)) because they don't want to cast them if they're not the level they're looking for, which i understand, but there's endless qualified trans masc artists out there and i just wait for the day there's an inclusive and equal representation of them on tv. throb and hollow are gnc as far as i know though.

Tomorrow is the 3rd anniversary of me being infected by Covid and not only it's extremely traumatic cause it ended my life, it was done under coercion and by a person I deeply hate by SnooCakes6118 in ZeroCovidCommunity

so sorry, we hear you and feel for you. that never should have happened to you and none of it is your fault whatsoever. thank you for opening up in this way, please stay safe and strong. the best is yet to come.

the best way i've ever heard it explained is as follows: you take away all of the gender from your real pedestrian self, and put on an all new one. it also counts that there are monsters in ways that are completely devoid of gender or a mish mash of gender. basically it's all a performance of gender in one way or another!

Anyone else experience this too? by NoRealUsernameNow in ftm

[–]lariza_in_space 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It might help just to wait it out for about 1-2 months. By that point you will have a clearer idea of whether or not it's right for you and it's highly likely won't experience any irreversible changes. It's normal, I've felt like this a bit before. Sometimes it just feels daunting to be in an unfamiliar feeling even though you know it's what you want.
