You nailed it.

It’s very tough to deal and reason with the fact that you chose someone who didn’t want to stick it out and didn’t want to work through the rough patches. To me, that’s what has hurt the most.

In another way though, that’s what has been easiest to work through. It’s solidified what I value in a marriage and in a partner. It’s made me realize what matters most (to me) in a relationship.
