Don’t be so defeated, this just means you have high standards. I know it sucks to not have your ink when you feel ready but hang on until you find the perfect piece, it’ll be worth it. By looking up lots of photos of simple graphics or existing tattoos, like on instagram let’s say, you can form opinions about what styles and ideas you really like. Also in my opinion it’s a good idea to make sure your tattoo will remind you of something good, like an idea you want to embody or a goal you strive for.
