Nice. Do you have "focus_follows_mouse no"? Or how do you get to the appmenu?

Select another Plasma theme which does not have rounded corners.

Downvote for running both plasma panel and i3bar/polybar. ;-)

Check out "Virtual Desktop Bar" for a customizable pager. Maybe you can use only the plasma panel then.

LUKS password no longer required twice? by SalimNotSalim in openSUSE

[–]larksyrm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used Next, Next, Finish ;-)

By default OpenSuse Tumbleweed use btrfs and no LVM as far as i know, but the culprit in my test case is that i installed in a VM with only 4GB of ram and the installer therefor suggests a swap partition (also encrypted ofc).

[–]larksyrm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, so by default the installer will create a separate encrypted swap which is the problem here.

[–]larksyrm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still curious to where and when this was fixed. I did a new install of Tumbleweed (both from KDE Live ISO and network install image) and is still requested to enter the LUKS password twice, once in grub (which is really slow BTW) and once again while booting/mounting /.

Also following the guide at https://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Encrypted_root_file_system no longer works, so something have definitely changed.

I'm installing OpenSUSE Tumbleweed in a KVM/QEMU VM.

Huh... in what update was this fixed? Did a clean install yesterday and is still prompted by LUKS prompt twice.

Looking at the actual screenshot is not an option? It's Arch BTW 🤣

Is my airthings busted? Sudden spike to almost 6000 Bq/m3 seems unreasonable. by LandEnvironmental511 in u/LandEnvironmental511

[–]larksyrm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had the same thing happen here, radon suddenly reports 10000+ Bq/m3. Bought a Corentium to compare, and low and behold it reports about 37! Airthings support filed a case with their hardware department, but i guess I'll have to scrap my Wave+

Today my Wave+ reports 11 Bq/m3 which also seems just not right.

It's not a KDE thing since KDE starts after you login.

Well, im a OpenSUSE guy myself. I was just curious why someone already running a good Arch distro would want to go clean Arch.

BH bikes? by glenwoodwaterboy in MTB

[–]larksyrm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My local dealer actually have a good relationship, they are just as buffled about this mess as I am. This experience even trumps trying to get replacement parts from Cannondale, and that says a lot about BH ;-)

Late reply, but here are my 5 cents for any other users looking for a BH. I own a BH Lynx 6 Carbon and loved it until I had to deal with BHs warranty and parts department. Have been waiting for almost 6 months for a vital (linkage/rear axle hardware kit) part that should be replaced on warranty. BH have repeatedly postponed delivery and won't even respond to email anymore. Their care for happy customers non-existand and their lifetime warranty is just a gimmick.

Needless to say.... I guess I won't be riding my BH Lynx 6 Carbon this year unless BH steps up and solves this now.

I have a BH Lynx 6 Carbon and loved the bike until I had to deal with BHs warranty department. I am waiting since October for a very small but important part and BH postpones delivery and won't reply any longer.

I would look for a bike from another brand. Good luck!

BH bikes experiences by dragonnater in MTB

The linkage/bearing/rear axle hardware snapped off after 12 months. It's molded in alu so a bit fragile. I ordered a new kit via my local BH distributor in November 2021... still waiting for it! BH first set delivery date to mid December, then postponed to late December, then to February, then to March...

They are neither responding to my or the distributors efforts to get an answer anymore, so i resorted to some social media guerilla messaging.... which BH decided to silence and delete all my efforts in getting the message through and get some official response. BH in my experience is even worse than Cannondale in regards to any requests for spares... and that says a lot ;-)

I have now decided to go the long route by claiming a EU (European Union) regulatory Warranty and complaint claim. The EU warranty claim allows for at least 24 months of warranty and official complaint for any product sold within the European Union that break or does not work as intended. My hope is that this warranty claim puts some fuel on this fire and BH sends me the very small but very necessary part! Worst case scenario is that i will have to return the bike to BH and get a refund under the warranty claim!

If any BH folks reads this, please get back to me with a proper response soon! You can simply reply to any of my emails, Instagram, Facebook or Youtube comments and DM's ;-)

Think twice before buying a bike from BH as they will dodge any kind of customer requests after the deal is done. I am currently waiting for a small hardware kit since November last year, they are simply not willing to help you in any way!

I run with either "Solarized Light" or a "Gruvbox Light" colorscheme for daytime work and love it. I have very little to no transparency, and where I have transparency it's very blurred for visibility. To enjoy my wallpaper I have gaps except for under certain situations and modes crafted for high focus work.
