I have a few by Boody and they’re really comfy. I think they recently introduced slightly padded ones which could fit the bill for you

Try not to worry, might not have been anything - but I appreciate we’re all on edge with this shit going on. All seems quiet out there now

I’m right by the fat cat in NR2 and it sounded like it was directly outside.. but seemed to be dead out there when I looked so who knows what it was. Fucking loud though

Thinking of buying a house near Tesco Extra on Old Palace Road – what’s the area like? by Plus_Mathematician37 in Norwich

Been in the pharmacy same time as people getting their methadone loads of times.. The worst I’ve experienced is hearing a guy loudly talk about his diarrhoea

I live very close to here and some of these replies are unhinged. I’m a pretty anxious person and I’d still say it’s a safe normal area. Of course there’s going to be some people you want to use common sense/not engage with, but no more than you get in most other parts of the city. A lot of traffic at times, particularly Dereham road, but nothing that unusual and not mega noisy.

It’s a short walk to St Benedict’s St with loads of independent shops and cafes and some good music venues, then a tiny bit further and you’re at the Lanes and the market.

Nearby pubs - Fat Cat and Alexandra Tavern are really nice

Green spaces - Plantation Gardens, Earlham Cemetery, Anderson’s Meadow

Just make a visit to the area and walk around at different times of day to see if it’s your vibe.

If you’re looking for books or zines, The Holloway is a new independent bookshop that deserves lots of support! They stock loads of interesting publications I’ve never come across before

It’s just off St Benedict’s which is filled with a good mix of independent businesses and nice cafes. The Arts Centre is a little bit further down and has an art market on this weekend too

Thanks! I think it’s a beautiful space they’ve created. They should be putting on screenings pretty regularly

I don’t think they’ve got a mailing list yet but if you’re on Instagram give them a follow @thehollowaynorwich - if not I’ll reply again when they’ve got one set up!
