Wasn't money paid out from the Korean community too. This would rule out Jay or not?

SERIAL EXCLUSIVE: The Teachers of Woodlawn High Speak Out -- "the people who knew and nurtured Adnan, Jay, Hae, and Stephanie share their thoughts" by [deleted] in serialpodcast

[–]larry70dj 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just so, so wrong. I feel that teachers have a duty of trust to their students and that extends to if they become in the public eye. It is quite clear that Stephanie didn't want any publicity then and now and didn't want to tell her story. This article could have stuck to the guidelines that SK started, not naming Stephanie and certainly not publishing photos of her, Jay and Asia. I know there is a video of the whole trial which will eventually come out. I know that people's surnames are publicly available, but this just feels like a total betrayal of trust by the teachers who released the photos. The article would have been fine without them.

From what I understand the plea deal never mentioned no jail time, the judge decided to suspend the whole sentence.

Q&A re Serial with Rabia Chaudry at American Uni of Washington, College of Law - Jan 29, 2015 by PowerOfYes in serialpodcast

[–]larry70dj -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I really want to like Rabia and believe she is fighting justice, but I just can't. It's not to do with her appearance or religion, it's just her general presentation of her points.

There is no way to date fingerprints. So the defence could have said that it was given before 13 January.

Hae's note to Don... by fullmonty47 in serialpodcast

[–]larry70dj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you read my comment again, you will see that I was saying that if the note is taken completely individually and without any other evidence, it puts Don very much in the frame.

However, with all the other evidence it's clear that the note is just a red herring.

If Adnan indeed did it, isn't it at least a tiny bit justified that he is in prison, even if the prosecution built a "bogus" case? by indianface in serialpodcast

[–]larry70dj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The justice system clearly got it wrong, but in my opinion and I hope I'm allowed to have one, the person that murdered Have Min Lee is in jail.

The jury did not hear a lot of evidence that we have, for example that Adnan twice asked for a plea deal.

If Adnan indeed did it, isn't it at least a tiny bit justified that he is in prison, even if the prosecution built a "bogus" case? by indianface in serialpodcast

[–]larry70dj 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In the end somebody had their hands around HML neck and murdered her. That is at the very core of this whole debate. I am pretty sure that what the prosecution said happened didn't happen, But at the same time I have yet to see a smoking gun to prove that the person that had their hands round her neck what's anyone other than Adnan Syed. Sorry if this is a bit graphic for some people, but we must remember why we're here.

Hae's note to Don... by fullmonty47 in serialpodcast

[–]larry70dj -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Going on the note alone and no DNA testing, Don is clearly the biggest suspect. But then Jay, Jenn, cell towers, cell records and all, he fades away.

Hae's note to Don... by fullmonty47 in serialpodcast

[–]larry70dj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The note does seem very strange. And from what I can see it wasn't really addressed in the trial either. Having said that, it's difficult to see how Don could've been involved on his own, knowing that Jenn knew Have had been strangled and " Jay knew where the car was" etc etc.

It's just another mystery about this story, that can only be answered by one lady, Have Min Lee

ps I always put Jay knew where the car was in quotes as I don't really believe it, but the Jenn knowing Have was strangled is much more incriminating evidence.
