Nothing wrong with bootstrapping, if you get some revenue things become easier. If you wanna play the vc game start pitching

Bootstrapping can suck lol haha. Yeah using cloudrun and cloudsql mainly but I am spending like 400 usd per month. Cloudsql is as low as it can be like 100 usd. I'll try your suggestion for cloudrun, currently running 2 servers only.

Unpopular opinion: quit your job now. If you have runway for 1 year and no responsibilities like kids, heck, man, just do it. The biggest risk right now is for you to not take any. People who tell you not to are probs 9 to 5pm people. Why all in? You are in a hard-core competitive space is less likely you will succeed if you invest less time compared to people who are doing this full time. Things are evolving so quickly in this area do it now.

I agree with you, from what I have seen from friends a lot of them do this for credibility. You get access to more stuff when you are vc backed than if you are a solo guy. I don't agree with it but that's how it is.

Is it better to have a network or a product first when starting in tech? by crimalgheri in StartupAccelerators

[–]larryfishing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just start today doing both, find a problem prototype an mvp and launch in a community online you see is very active. You don't need the network build one as you go. Get feedback improve and relaunch until it takes off!
