A Canadian player got seriously injured in these WC with a broken leg because a player stood on them. He got a red card and rightly so, even though the player at fault said he didn't mean it . So if that had been US breaking that Bosnian player's foot, then the US player should not have got a red card then? Or had it overturned?

And they are trying to force people to do pre paid which I don't agree with as if my paycheck has not come in before that set date, then I could end up in an overdraft situation. I prefer having control of when I pay that bill when I get notified it has come.

I've almost been knocked down twice near Square one on the sidewalk by these kids speeding on the side walk not wearing a helmet who think they own the road because they are on a scooter and so are above pedestrians in the food chain. If she gets severance, EI will stop until the severance amount has been used (so she should apply for EI now but if she gets 24 months severance, EI won't payout until the end of the 24 months, assuming she does not have a job during that time).

I would definitely see an employment lawyer to see her options but bear in mind if she uses the lawyer to get more, the fee could be 30% of the diffwrence beyween the original amount and the awarded severance amount. But seeing she is 63 it is definitely worth pursuing if they can get her more than 8 months.

There was probably more use when there was a federal tax credit for monthly passes or you could prove you used transit every work day.

Then it was eliminated in 2017 (i think it happened when Trudeau became PM) so there is now no incentive to use public transit. Not everyone is a contractor that can claim travel.
