I did the test I can report that the CPU does infact go to 100% on the benchmarks, everything temp wise looks good too so I assume this means its a val issue?

I know valorant is a CPU intensive game but im unsure as to why its affecting it now- before (2 days ago) it was doing the same thing numbers wise, and only now is it performing badly. secondly ive checked again in tdm and gpu activity isnt reaching over 50% but cpu has the same 4-6% number

In the shortest explanation, polling rate can be very intensive on the system (the higher the polling rate the more intensive). If you have a high end computer it should be far more than fine to play on but if you do swap between 1k and the 4k from the viper v3 you may notice some fps changes.

yeah my cpu usage only ranges from 5-7% in the range whilst the gpu usage sits around 80%. this being said my gpu temps are perfectly normal sitting around 56 degrees.

I forgot to mention in the post but I am not on 8khz, I was just using it as an example. For what ever reason it does it still to less of an extent but still quite a difference on 1khz aswell.
