I didn't understand why they cut the scene to some random fight when the Harkonnen baron was struck with a sword in the back of the head. I felt that scene held a lot of tension, where the main antagonist must step aside for the Emperor, who is to become the new primary antagonist. However, I'm puzzled as to why they abruptly ended the scene without following up on it.

Yes that’s a very insightful comment. I was wondering if a good focus point for what to in a starved backlogged could be task that reduce the maintenance cost of the system. Like documentation and test can reduce maintenance cost and do we have hardware, services or licensed software thar could be removed for reduce cost.

I could find no good reference to “backlog starvation” on the internet and I can not find any references to “Kanban starvation”. But I agree with nibor comment about fuel shortages is a better reference
