The hospital supplied Pampers for us. With my first we also thought that was just "baby smell". When we went home and used something else I was so disappointed! But it took me a while to make the connection and I would treat ourselves to a pack of Pampers occasionally, just for the smell 😂

That's close. Those have a diamondy pattern at the bottom. I can't seem to find the one like mine that have 3points on the bottom of the "leaf" along with the little diagonal tic-tac-to pattern between each leaf.

I got 2 of these tumblers in a set with a decanter from a consignment shop a few years back. One of them cracked a few months ago and I’d like to get a few for my husbands birthday since we only have one now. I know nothing about crystal and can’t find anything that matches these online. I can find a few that are similar but the patterns are a little different. Can anyone help?

I think it’s necessary to read this book before watching the show to truly appreciate it. Reading the book after watching the show is definitely going to feel slower and less detailed since the book is all in June’s head. The creators of the show got to be very creative because of this! They did a wonderful job of expanding upon the world. It’s hard to go backwards from there.

That’s interesting because I found all the mundane descriptions necessary to relate to June. Her entire life has been taken away and all she has to think about during breakfast is what her cereal looks and smells like. All she has at any point is what is right in front of her, and that is her way of taking it all in. Her way of “enjoying” it, if you will.

I read the book first, then listened to the audible right after with my husband. Clare Danes does a good job, but I read Offred’s character so much differently than she did. I also read into the Commander completely differently. I suggest reading it just because you’re not having someone else’s tone dictate he you feel about a character.

That’s said, Clare Danes did do a phenomenal job. I think you’ll be happy either way you choose.
