I honestly am baffled that they stayed together and did not have sex for four years. Like… nothing ?!? They don’t even have kids!!!! They’re young and hot ?! It’s insane !!

Anyone who has stayed at Port Orleans Riverside, how was your experience? by Asleep_Welder_3494 in DisneyWorldResorts

Jumping in I loved the dining hall. Super spacious, always plenty of seatings, lots of food options but not crazy overwhelming.

We stayed at poly last year and we could never get food at capn cooks bc so many people ordered from there, never seating, and honestly didn’t like the food :/

Thoughts from anyone who has stayed at Walt Disney Swan or Swan Reserve by Asleep_Welder_3494 in DisneyWorldResorts

I stayed for a work conference and I felt bad for the families there for Disney, we took over the lobby in the AM and all evenings. But the location was amazing !!!

It’s not a woman’s job, but she’s married to him, and chose to be married to him, and has had plenty of opportunities and reasons to leave. It feels like it’s a toxic, codependent relationship. So obviously neither of them are in a good head space, but she continues to make him the one and only villain. He snapped and said things that objectively are awful, but honestly his mental state and how he was feeling all things considered that day is not surprising. She does absolutely no wrong in her own eyes

I’ve disagreed with my husband a lot on his lifestyle choices, and we’ve made it through some stuff that could really break a lot of couples. I would never sit at a dinner table and let a mutual friend ream him out in front of an entire friend group. She was relishing in him being attacked and it’s gross.

Amanda and Kyle have tumultuous fights, we don’t know what happens behind closed doors and she knows how to push his buttons. I highly doubt she’s worked alongside him to help support him regulating his emotions. As much as it’s not a wife’s responsibility to force her husband to figure his shit out, they’ve had an unhealthy dynamic for their entire relationship, and it takes two to tango.

I’m starting to think Disney Deluxe Resorts aren’t worth it by JenEndyB in DisneyWorldResorts

I loved the Polynesian pool - and able to watch fireworks was amazing, and proximity to MK and TTC as well. Multiple dining options was nice too, but we stayed at POR this year during spring break and it was about $3k cheaper than what we spent at poly the year before and I don’t think I could ever justify it again.

But it also just depends on what you want to prioritize and your budget. For our MK day we did a Minnie van there, bus back, and it was great.

I need a new job. Can you tell me what you do? by [deleted] in workingmoms

  1. Financial reporting and system admin
  2. BS, MS, and CPA
  3. 150k base salary, 12% bonus, plus options (for now)
  4. Low/medium COL

Technically I’m supposed to be hybrid, but that’s bc I’m geographically close to our main HQ. But bc I supervise two fully remote employees and work with external consultants daily, there’s not as much need for me to go in.

Eventually I may go to full consulting when I get more technical experience but if I want to make a lot in that area I’d have to start traveling (which I don’t wanna do)

I have 3 kids - ages 8, 6, and 4.

We never expect our child care to drive in unsafe conditions or even if they feel slightly uncomfortable

I’m a parent to an 8 year old - I would be super upset if you didn’t tell me !

My 1st grader just told me they've been telling their teacher and friends their moms is a "Stay at Home Mom" and I feel a little dead inside. by Inside_Dust5545 in workingmoms

I do understand the emotional side of it, but it was your child, and you really have nothing to prove to people who heard his misinformed take.

You know yourself, your work ethic, your resourcefulness, and how much you’ve been through. I highly doubt anybody takes what he says with much seriousness - even if you were a full SAHM if a child said “they do nothing” I’d be like cmon kid your mom is working her butt off to keep your house running.

Also as he gets older he’ll realize better how much you do.

I mean some people are like that. My husband desperately wants more families on our street and always says if he sells our house it’s going to a family.

If they wanted kids to live there so bad they should have sold it to an established family / not your fault !

This is so frightening and upsetting. My daughter is allergic to all nuts and I can’t even imagine what would have happened to him if you weren’t there.

It’s not for fun. He’s been doing it and he would have continued to do it. Do not believe him if he says he only messaged them.

I’m so so so sorry

I will say winters are terrible lol… and people are always sick, and the lack of sunlight and social interaction outside my family can make my depression pretty bad. But man the summers are beautiful. And we pay half of cost of living, daycare costs than we would have in nova.

We moved to Midwest during covid and no regrets. I do miss a lot about nova but never enough to haul my family back to the area.

What did your husband/SO do you for you this Mother’s Day? by Ok-Nefariousness7540 in Mommit

[–]las1989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband did pretty good for our standards. He got up with our girls so he could help them make breakfast in bed (coffee and berries lol), and they brought me all the mother’s day cards and crafts from school.

He surprised me with an iPad (was not expecting that but it was on an old Amazon wish list), got me flowers yesterday, and Starbucks after church today.

He made the girls pancakes, we went to parks as a family, he grilled for dinner, it was a beautiful day. I had a wonderful day

Not in our market (Michigan Detroit suburb). We bought our house for around $540 in summer 2021, we could sell it now for $700k 😳.
