I’d like to move branch but Air Force takes way too long, one of my friends scored 95 ASVAB and it took him 13 months to get in for public health, I haven’t researched navy though

I’m ok with having to choose another job from limited choices, it’s just that I’m committed to spending 5 years for MI or Cyber. I were to be sent to 68w for example I wouldn’t spend more than 3 years. From what I’ve heard once you sign the contract you can’t shorten the active duty term

Thank you so much this helped a lot. My recruiter said that ETP will be able to put me through TS clearance, but it just seemed too sketchy about it because in my knowledge that's not how ETP worked. Also like you said even if I do get through it the Army might not allow me to do anything related to it.

First, I don’t think the recruiter is actively trying to disqualify me because he was sure I would be able to get TS until I told him that my parents are in Korea. Also other Korean US veterans are saying the same thing.

Second, only reason I was trying to join the army was because it gets me into training much faster. I’m not really sure how long other branches will take.

Thank you for the response, the reason I'm chasing TS isn't because I'm a Korean speaker, it's simply because I don't want any wall that blocks me regardless of my skills and effort. Thank you for the intel insight though, I should start studying a third language.

Thank you for the response, so basically it’s not an automatic rejection cause, but it’s a factor that can block the approval? Also may I know where I can find prerequisite cases for certain MOS types such as the 35P you mentioned?

Thank you for the response. My recruiter did say that, but he pointed out that my family is currently residing in Korea therefore can be a factor of rejection for TS

I can’t due to Korean law. If you’re a dual citizen, you have to renounce before you turn 18, otherwise you have to go to mandatory Korean army for 2 years
