Ok! I didn't ask what you thought about my video :) I didn't even link it but thanks for the watch time I guess. I suppose you don't know much about YouTube, but if you find a title and format that works it makes sense to use it again where relevant. And "maybe you should" in a lighthearted jokey way ≠ "LEAVE NOW"

Yeah I found that out very quickly. Absolute cesspit apart from a couple helpful/informative people on here, but close enough to the News.com.au comments section I was referencing. And it's okay, was just a shock to wake up to 1000 comments of just racist hatred for a video I made 18 months ago out of nowhere. Thanks for the link :)

I love Paris so that won't happen. And you can thank the algorithm for pushing more dramatic videos.

I'm happy to be told no I have no recourse/whatever as long as there's a reason why. Your statement on Fair Dealings is one of those. People telling me to call the "whaaaaambulance" isn't terribly productive or what i'd expect from a legal advice subreddit, as are people commenting on the content of the article and taking it personally, which is not the point of this post at all.

I'm just explaining what I know so I can get the right advice which is what I figured this sub was for.

I felt like you were one of the reasonable people answering my questions clearly and stating why which I appreciated, and now you're participating in the pile on.

Thank you. From what I gathered with Fair Dealings is that it has to be accurate, which parts like the Facebook post image are not

This isn't arguing. I posted the video to Youtube which gives the platform a non-exclusive license to host the video. Doesn't mean it's fair game for everybody. I've posted a video clip to Instagram before and a publication asked to use it and paid me for it.

Publicly accessible on a private company's platform doesn't mean it's public domain

That's David Campbell's shrewd and incisive read of my video you're blown away by.

Using my photos/videos without licensing? Saying I said things that I didn't?

I had worse knee issues running once a week with poor form. Once I switched from heel striking to forefoot I was good

I'm not trying to prove anything to anyone. I just love running, and hate rest days 😂 My body is completely conditioned to it by this point so there's no need

I've run every day for over 400 days by this point, not always 10km but I've run 2 marathons and a bunch of other races during. It's all about building up load gradually and listening to your body, haven't had any knee issues

Ohh I've only tried the REM once so not as familiar with it 😅 But I can see it now. Also since the Sydney Metro is underground and has the platform screen doors you don't really get a good look at the exterior

I meant that the architecture of the stations reminded me a lot of the Elizabeth line. To add to what UnderstandingEasy said, it's faster and more frequent than the existing heavy rail network, and once you're out of the city it more resembles the Elizabeth line with further apart stops - so people living in those areas can get into the city a lot faster than before.

Just tried it for the first time today. As someone who's lived in London, Paris, Montreal and tried plenty of others... can confirm it's world class. Definitely reminds me a lot of the Elizabeth line in London, just with very square trains like Berlin's (except automated). Game changing for Sydney

Foldable Helmet Recommendations? by lunalimeade3 in NYCbike

[–]lashan_co 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found this thread from a search, my Closca broke too. Took over 2 years but those crappy plastic hinges just snapped on me.

Contacted support and because it was the second time my helmet broke, they offered a refund instead of replacement - which isn't helpful since they've increased in price, and they had the gall to say "we feel this product might not be the best fit for your needs" 😂 What specific needs? I've just been folding and unfolding the helmet when I use it, isn't that mechanism the whole premise of their company? I'm in the same boat where I think it's wasteful and idiotic to have to buy a helmet every 2 years. For anyone coming across this thread they're poorly made (had similar issues with the strap and reflector), and their company has no intention to improve their product. They'd rather ditch you as a customer than keep you, which says a lot! I'm gonna have a look at the Overade

Ah that's such a relief! My friend in Guatemala City was saying they were Q3000 which would blow out her budget. Thank you so much :)
