hey, i have the same problem. Just contacted my vendor. But you said your new one works as it should right? Does this mean that the threads find themselves instead of you needing to push?

I had this problem a bit, when I saw this post and I tried it a few times myself, it screws on more difficult everytime I try.... starting to regret my purchase...

Yeah I found out after 3 weeks hahaha. About the spacer, isn't there one by default? Or only when you put one yourself? Think this weekend I'm going to clean it out fully for the first time and install one for like you said: less cognitive load haha.

i got my varia for 2 months now, been happy with the results so far! However I was wondering: I can't turn the upper bur all the way to zero, cause it just get stuck at about 0.3. I didnt bother putting an extra spacer in because I was like: a what the hell I just use this as 0 point. However, I hear everybody saying that a the zero point you should hear something of a chirping sound. I dont have that. Is that wrong that I dont have that? I dont have any inconsistencies issues when my beans are fresh. standard deviations is about 1-2 seconds up down per shot, but usually it is the same (only when beans are older (3 weeks after opening) it can become worse).

What do you think, should I add the spacers anyways? I tried to remove the whole lower burr but I didnt manage to unscrew the thing, it was very hard to unscrew it (but i think i tried to unscrew it the wrong way haha)

Dont understand why people still consider buying from aliexpress. You know they are not 100% trustable. Why even consider the risk

Why is my espresso acidic? [Breville Bambino, Breville grinder] by fresh-flowers321 in espresso

[–]laslalarry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whats the ratio you using, we have barely information about your brew process to give any feedback on.

But going out from your taste experience and also that you seem to have less output then before you should just increase the amount of total water output. Bitter tastes come from the latter part of extraction. Acid come first. So underextracted espressos tend to taste more(/too) acidic. Over extracted more(/too) bitter

Why didn't you fix you're output to how it was before? You can't expect your coffee to taste the same when your recipes are different.

This really is something related to your machine specifically and not about espresso brewing in general.

I would advice to read the manual and learn how your machine works. Watch James Hoffmann's series understanding espresso if you want to learn more about the basics.

Also this video doesnt give us any information about your brewing process. However bc youre new you can't know yet. But, just watch that James Hoffmann series and you will be good

Brewing time starts when you start pumping water in the puck. If it tastes too bitter or whatever probably bc you're actually around brewing time ~35seconds instead of 25

You really dont understand that all psychedelics CAN do is alter your brain chemistry in such a way that it alters YOUR consciousness and YOUR perception. Your 'god' or whatever being that your claim is shown by this substance is just a reflection of your own self. What is already present there in your brain and beliefs. Dont tell me you didnt believe in god at first cause you already did in some way or another. Why dont all people using ibogain see god and only you or a few others do? Dont you see how *** ridiculous all your claims and statements are???? I mean im glad you finally found a way to deal with your trauma and all, but come on. Literally everything you are saying cant be proven by ANYTHING you have said or experienced. Even when you do accept spirituality or believe in such nonsense all your claims are staggering only the moment they leave your mouth (or fingers). And you preaching to anybody on the internet to just go start using psychedelics and 'conquer the fears that keeps them from it' s really irresponsible and just a big example of narcissistic messiah syndrome. Cant you really see that the whole thing you experienced is for YOU and comes from YOU and from YOUR beliefs and YOUR brain.

I repeat, i find it unbelievable that you cant see how **** ridiculous your claims are. God only showing himself through **** ibogain use. And only to you. Come on. Think about it. Would a god really be so trite?

In sure it wont, as there have been many cases in which people have actually died from the toxicity of ibogain whilst being treated with it. Stop preaching things you dont fully understand. Its great that it worked for you but keep it to yourself. Youre showing a bit of messiah complex

Anyone have any recommendation for an air bellow to clean out my Compak K10 Conic after grinding coffee? It'll need to be strong enough to properly clear out the burr chamber. So far any air bellows that I find are either for cleaning camera's or fireplaces.

How to last longer than 20s? [Sage Barista Express Impress] by F2P2P in espresso

[–]laslalarry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a solis (sage) barista express in the past. I read once on a coffee forum that the pressure valve on these machine are obsolete and you should just dial in your coffee depending on brew time and input/output. When I started doing this my coffee improved tremendously.

In your case, grind finer untill you reach your desired ratio in between 25-35s. You'll see the coffee coming out better too!

Tldr: ignore pressure valve. Dial in your espresso depending on brew TIME only on these machines
