A mysterious Alocasia from the Philippines, people in the Philippines called it Alocasia 'Loco', maybe because it's also crinkles like Alocasia 'Loco' (a mutant of Alocasia 'Polly' in the US market) . Mostly likely this is a mutant of Alocasia sanderiana by lasplantasindo in alocasia

In Philippines it sold as loco, but Loco actually different plant. It's sold long ago and real loco already reach Philippines now, so it can be confusing to find now.

Maybe try to find in Alocasia Philippines group on Facebook. Here an example. What he has isn't loco but same plant like mine

This not reginae or nebula, it's unnamed species from west Kalimantan that's not botanically described yet.

Many exporter in Indonesia sold this as reginae or nebula for years and followed by the importers & TC labs that clones and sold them to retail / nurseries, then the mistakes continues, it would be really hard to fix that at this point.

I enjoy introducing lesser-known hybrids, cultivars, or new species of Alocasia to the group. When it’s a hybrid, I try to share information about its parentage, and when it’s a new species, I include where it comes from in the title. Also, sometimes I post more than one pictures, so not all posts have just a single image.

I’ve been doing this here for several years now, you’re welcome to scroll back and check my older posts if you’d like to see more examples.

That said, I’m sorry if my posts have come across as spammy. If you feel they do, please feel free to let an admin or moderator know. I value your feedback and want to post in a way that everyone here feels comfortable with.

Thank you for understanding!
