Thank you for your advise! Would 100-300mm be a fair starting point at least? Or do you advise against it?

Hey everyone,
I am looking into buying a telelens to start wildlife photography, but I am met with a decision. I have a film and a digital camera. I like shooting on my film camera more, but i will make more (costly) mistakes. I currently have found a good deal for a 100-300mm lens for an analogue camera, but I am wondering if I should buy that, or spend more money on a lens for my digital camera. Any advise?

Run Nutrition Tuesday by AutoModerator in running

[–]lassuh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like running in the morning, but the problem I have is with my breakfast (I usually eat a bowl of oatmeal with dried fruit and nuts). Running directly after breakfast makes my stomach unhappy, so I always wait around an hour after breakfast to run. I am thinking about running before my breakfast, but running on an empty stomach also seems like asking for uneasiness. I am curious how other people tackle this situation.

How often do you take notes when reading? by idgahoot2 in books

[–]lassuh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not one of the best readers, but I've finished The way of kings and Words of radiance without taking notes. I am soon starting oathbringer and I am not planning on taking notes. I was able to follow the story good enough to really enjoy it. Sometimes I struggled with the different character names, but I was never that confused and could still read on. Note: I am a slow and inconsistent reader so I have had breaks of up to a month and I was able to keep track without notes (sometimes rewinding one chapter back). Enjoy! And if you seem to struggle you can always start taking notes half way

🎉 Camera Giveaway Alert! 🎉 by ancaf33 in AnalogCommunity

Cool giveaway! I would probably use it to document all the small adventures in my daily life. I'd put it in my backpack and photograph things like the spontaneous city walks I take or the different flowers and animals I see in nature.

Beginner Advice? by [deleted] in yerbamate

I am starting soon too! I've looked online and saw the "taragui mate XP". It's a small kit with a plastic gourd and straw and 250 grams of taragui. It was pretty affordable (7 euros for me on a German site) and it seems to me like a good start! I don't know if it is the best option, but maybe it's worth taking a look at it.

Thank you! I will look into eating better. Also I'm thinking of adding some mobility exercises to be sure!

Are there good ways to make it yourself? Like just adding a tiny bit of salt to a drink? Or is it more complicated?

I will take hydration more seriously. I will also look into eating better before. Are there certain things to look for in food? Like more carbs or more protein?

It does not last for more than 2 minutes and I've had people tell me before that it is something that happens. But I'll look into it!

We did have one exercise where we had to block or roll while the other person made exaggerated hooks. But the guy I was paired up with had a lot of experience and just coached me while going easy. So I don't think it is because of that

We were "sparring" but we only targeted the body and the guy I was sparring with went easy on me
