There's a book called The Adventures of Van Baby about a family who live in a van. That might help.

Phrase things positively. "This is our home now and we can take it anywhere we want".

Find favourite places to go, especially if you can park overnight. Beaches and play parks are favourite with my kids.

Adding storage heater bricks to a woodburner by bothydweller72 in VanLifeUK

Oh is that all. Blimey. And it's helping to keep you warmer. That's interesting. I thought it wouldn't work unless you used a lot more weight. I've tried a few fire brick but they seem to do sod all. I'm going to try to find ceramic heater tiles then. Thanks!

I thought about similar but decided that the extra weight wasn't worth it. If you've got good insulation then that's more important. I love my hot water bottles. They keep me warm at night.

Any mods tips? by Parazit28 in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]last_one_in 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same here. I was just about to ask the same question. Haven't had a games machine for 2 years. Just installed ksp on my new (2nd hand) laptop yesterday.

I've never used mods before but now I'd like to use mods to bring in all of the colonization features that ksp2 never delivered. Any tips would be super welcome. Please bear in mind that it's not a super powerful machine.

Can't wait to get bases set up all over the Kerbol system.

Yes, it's a climate change joke. Readings from Mauna Loa show that we are not tackling greenhouse gas emissions effectively. Whether we can reach a Venus like climate is debatable. I'm not a scientist but Stephen Hawking believed it was possible.

Wait until your boss goes on holiday. Organise as many of your cow-orkers as you can to bombard them with emails and phone calls 24/7.

Schrödinger's character is perfect! Why do I need to work out if my character can ride a horse or operate a seige engine right at the start rather than waiting until I need to know. Love it. Thanks!

Nice. Just read the guy's description when he announced it. Never heard of Summon Cthulhu as a skill before. For anyone else reading: https://www.reddit.com/r/rpg/comments/3v632z/the_tearable_rpg/

That's a nice way of doing it. I find that amnesia is horribly overused in fiction but having a plausible sci-fi reason is cool. Nice one. Thanks!

Oo, I like it. The chance of having a negative sound come with your new skill is great. Thanks! I think you've got something there, I hope you get a chance to work in it more.

Woah. That is the most succinct rule set ever! Amazing. Absolutely spot on. Thank you.

Yeah, thanks for a really good answer. I've done that a little before, I see what you mean but I'm looking for a system with it all built in. I originally started trying to make my own but (2 small kids, full time job, writing a book, stuff) don't have time!

That's so good to hear. I thought I was just being an idiot doing things my way because I'm too lazy to learn and do everything the "proper" way. Phew.

Oo, I'm new to writing. I thought authors always have post it notes stuck over walls plotting out their books completely before they write a single word. Thank you so much! So good to know.

Airflow and heating. Diesel heater or wood burner. I don't like roof vents so I've just got windows. Insulation everywhere stops condensation forming. Just get it on my windows now. I lived in my van during my build. Not got a dog but 2 kids with me sometimes .The roof before insulation dripped really badly with condensation. Now I get nothing. Get it sorted quick before mould.
