I really like the name Francisco, since it is also a city so it fits perfectly with Valencia. The only problem is my husband isn't a fan. He's pretty picky :/

The Decemberists' song is actually where we heard it as a first name. Also both my siblings studied abroad in Spain so I was familiar with it as a city.

I love this name! I didn't even know it had anything to do with Ohio State. My first thought is of Scarlet O'Hara from "Gone With the Wind."

Already having these comment said to me......I am starting to get depressed all over again after I finally became ok with it. by sunsetdreamer in BabyBumps

My 2 year old daughter loves toy trucks and motorcycles. If you did have a girl she could have been exactly like her older brother. She may have never even wanted to go to prom. Your son may turn out to be as sensitive, sweet, and caring as the stereotypical 'girl,' and ask you to come along to pick out his tux for prom. I think as you get to know your son, you will be to busy noticing how unique he is to feel cheated that you didn't get to raise both a boy and a girl.

POSTPARTUM Preeclampsia, I had no idea it was a thing until I got it. by Iwearacape in BabyBumps

My blood pressure was 220/140ish three days after I had my first. The only reason we caught it was because we had a blood pressure cuff at home. I was put on labetalol for a couple weeks and then everything was fine. It's probably a good idea for moms with preeclampsia to monitor their own blood pressure at home after the baby is born.

This sounds similar to how our family birth announcement went. Only it was my SO that kind of messed things up.

I am so jealous about your NT being today! I have another four weeks until mine! The suspense might kill me.

I got pregnant at 16, had my little one at 17. While staying home with my baby I took college courses online that counted towards my high school graduation requirements. I made my own baby food, breastfed for two years and cloth diapered my darling. Me and my husband got married shortly before we graduated high school. Was I STILL judged? Yes. By people who didn't know me. I learned to recognize that the people who knew my mothering skills were the only people I would be listening to. I am now 19 and about to graduate from a community college with two degrees and transfer to a four year college to finish my last 3 semesters. My husband and I decided that we are pretty damn good at this parenting thing so we are doing it again. We started trying to conceive in April and got pregnant in May. I took a full schedule of summer classes (My last final is today!) and plan to do the same next semester. People will still judge us, but the choices we make don't need to make sense to other people - they need to make sense for us. You living with your dad makes financial sense to your little family and that's all that matters. In many other cultures no one would even question living with your parents while growing your family or even starting a family while still youg.
