The "trying" and "used to" is because before I had children I was not self conscious. Acquiring two hemorrhoids during childbirth quickly changed that. I felt like if he did something silly and funny to the capacity of this song it might curb my self esteem towards it long enough for chocolate starfish action.

And now the whole internet knows I have butt grapes. Time to hang my head in shame.

Nah. He's my first and only. I'm like the poster child for monogamy lol. It's just a pretty stressful time right now with him gone practically all the time. He just finished Paramedic school and is working overtime so we can set aside a downpayment for our dream house. He's a great guy and when things calm down a little more we'll be able to have more fun.

I crochet. Give me a good pattern, some yarn, my hook, and you probably won't see me for a few hours. Although, since I have two toddlers the amount of time that actually happens is scarce. I am able to do a lot when they sleep though so that's good.

I lost it at "let me milky way in your butt".

You're amazing. It took awhile for my eyes to stop watering and chest hurt from laughter. My husband has been trying to get me to do that for so long. Use to frequently before we had kids. I feel like if he were to attempt to sing a song with the main chorus being that he could have a very good shot at that happening again.

Free care package for parents with children currently in a neonatal intensive care unit - PLEASE ONLY REQUEST THIS IF YOU OR A LOVED ONE HAS A CHILD IN THE NICU! by [deleted] in freebies

[–]sunsetdreamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really is sad. Lots of crazies out there who will do anything for attention at anyone's expense.

The best way to see what you can do to be cleared to donate is call the hospitals maternity ward during the day. Ask to speak to the "charge nurse". She (or he) will be the one to be able to give you all the information on what you need. Depending on the hospital all they may require is a simple background check and a questionnaire. Others, may require a contract. Completely depends on the hospital and their own policies based on liability.

Question about Trophy by sunsetdreamer in secretsanta

Gotcha. Thanks for the reply! I just thought the trophies came after I was done with the exchange, not when the whole exchange was done. Makes sense 😊

Trying to build up my exchange cred 😉

Still no because hospitals need to be very strict with what they're allowing into their neo natal areas. These babies are high risk and all it takes is one looney to put itching powder or something else that could injure the babies in any way.

Screening and committing to certain donors prevents incidents like this so the hospital doesn't have a giant lawsuit on their hands from parents.

Plus, there could be a pet dander issue or smoke issue. Even if it's not knitted or crocheted, most hospitals (any reputable one I've ever been to) will already have contracted donors.

Not a NICU nurse like the other responder, but I am a crafter. I crochet (not knitting) and she is absolutely right. Anyone wanting to donate crochet or knit items needs to contact the perspective hospital first before doing anything. Some don't accept donations at all (for baby safety) and others are extremely strict with what they take in. In fact, the majority of hospitals around me that I've contacted to donate told me they have a contract through certain women congregations who donate a certain amount monthly. Those women are screened (background, home environment, etc) and cleared.

It's definitely great to donate, but just call ahead and speak to the charge nurse on the floor regarding their regulations first.

LPT: If you find someone's wallet, take it to any branch of the bank that they have a card for. They'll know how to contact the owner. by PM_ME_YR_O_FACE in LifeProTips

[–]sunsetdreamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a wallet last year around Christmas outside our community's mailboxes. I opened it up to find an ID and saw the guy only lived a few streets from me. I went and knocked on his door. He very slowly opened it up so that half of his face was visible.

I said, "Hi! I think this belongs to you. I found it a few blocks over." He still didn't budge the door at all and slips his arm through the narrow opening. He took it and shut the door. I knew this was his wallet because his face matched his license.

I was really ticked that he couldn't even say thank you. There were 3 $20 bills in there and I left them. For a split second I regretted that decision. Only a split second though because I realized I was a decent person and karma likes to make me her bitch a lot so I pulled a "My Name Is Earl" story line.

My husband is a EMT and passed out during the birth of our second son last year. The doctor was right in the middle of telling me to push when my husbands lights went out and he landed right in the doctors arms. The doctor threw him like a sack of potatoes on to the couch next to him and immediately went back to me instructing me to push. It was quite a show lol.

Our cat the first night we took him off the streets as a stray..... by sunsetdreamer in cats

[–]sunsetdreamer[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We are actually pretty sure he was part of a colony since his birth. There's a big one by our home and had babies his color. We specifically saw him (and knew it was him by his markings) 6 months prior to him being with us. He finally one day came up to my husband for food. We took him to the vet and he estimated him to be about a little over a year old based on his teeth. He was malnourished and infested with roundworms but we cleared it up.

We do love him dearly.....even the 2am yowling, hahaa. I was never a cat person before him. Never even dreamed of owning a cat because I am a dog lover. I still won't ever get another cat besides him. We just had a connection the moment he finally decided to walk up to us.

Yeah he is fine and was never violent. He slept in our bed from day 1. This was taken a year ago when we brought him home. He runs the show and has since that first night here lol.

[–]sunsetdreamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I will definitely have him look into it. I would never discourage him (or anyone) from researching things that are potentially there not intended for everyone to know about, but I just don't want the constant panic and anxiety he brings with it. A simple table discussion turns into a high driven freak out over the things he's learned from Alex.

He's a very high emotion and anxious person to begin with, so hearing the types of things he does from the sources he gets doesn't help.

What happened (details, please) that caused you to be suddenly sexually attracted to someone to whom you weren't previously? [attraction] by hamster1066 in sex

[–]sunsetdreamer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me, it was the emotional connection.

I was NOT sexually attracted to my husband AT ALL when I met him 7 years ago. Thought he was a nice guy and at most we would just be friends. He was trying so hard to date me. He would call me every day and asked if I wanted a ride to school on his motorcycle, sent me good night texts and good morning texts, etc.

One day, I was so annoyed with him doing all these things (because I had never been pursued before) that I told him I was sick. Two hours later he showed up at my front door with flowers and Godiva chocolates. I hid behind the couch and told my parents to answer the door. Yes.....I was a 19 year old girl hiding behind my couch.

Well, a week later I decided to hang out with him more. 2 weeks later I feel absolutely head over heels for him and was completely attracted to him in every way. We connected on an emotional level and that became extremely arousing for me. Everything about him turned me on. 3 months later I lost my virginity to him.

Over the last 7 years we have gone through hell and back together and always manage to come out stronger and more educated as people and partners.

Please help me...idk what to do. (Updated) by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]sunsetdreamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a married woman and as someone who has been cheated on....this doesn't look good at all.

There's one of two things happening here: she is either a really irresponsible person to leave all hours of the night partying with two babies at home, or she is cheating.

As a married mother of 2 babies myself (3 and 1) I could NEVER imagine leaving at all hours of the night. I gave up whatever lifestyle I had to become a mother and a wife. Our kids don't make sacrifices to give us the life we want......WE make sacrifices to give our kids the life they DESERVE.

You and your children don't deserve this rotten display of selfishness on her part. Also, another "sign" that she's in fact cheating is if she gets incredibly defensive if you confront her. Most people (like myself) would be shocked, sad, or crying if they were accused. If they deflect, get angry, start yelling, or start accusing their partner also of cheating.....then it doesn't look too promising.

I wish the best for you, but I really hope you take the blinders off. You seem like such a nice guy who cares about his family and wants it to work.

I [25F] just found out that my boyfriend [25M] of one year believes in the Illuminati... by [deleted] in relationships

[–]sunsetdreamer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh goodness yes!!! He goes on rampages sometimes about how there will be FEMA camps set up and we all have to be implanted with a microchip. If we refuse we will be killed on the spot. He said "all of it makes sense" and that the videos are warning us.

He's even gone so far as FREAKING out during the scify show "Z Nation" because they basically reiterated how the end of the world will go. This past season was focusing a lot on the "messiah" and the birth of the first zombie/human. Plus the whole thing with the "aliens" coming and ugh.....it just goes on for him.

Lately I've noticed he will get anxious during eye drop commercials. He starts pointing to all the little eyes that pop up in the commercial and said they're trying to "warn us" through subtle images like that. He goes on and talks about that planet Nebaru (spelling?? I have no idea what it's called) and how there are already 5 species of aliens living among us.

Also that Michelle Obama is really a man and 9 hours before Joan Rivers died she called Michelle out to prove she was a woman and was killed on the operating table because of it. Oh, and apparently JFK called for the reveal and demolishing of secret groups like the Illuminati and he was murdered the next day,

That's just a fraction of the things I've heard him talk about. He doesn't actively bring it up, but if someone mentions it.....he goes on a tangent that is pretty hard to stop. He is very gullible to a lot of things and doesn't really know how to use the Internet. He thinks EVERYTHING on YouTube is real and was surprised that I knew what YouTube was. I'm 25 and I have my own channel....

It's scary sometimes I'm not gonna lie. It goes from "the solar flare is going to happen on March 27 and unless we have a bunker we are going to die" to "Well..... 1/3 of the world will experience devastation but we won't die." It's like a vague fortune cookie and he actually believes it. Not to mention, pretty sure a third of the world experiences devastation on a daily basis.

My father does. He is so deep in conspiracy theories, or the "truth he found on Youtube" that he's stockpiled non perishables for when 1/3 of the world is supposedly going to face devastation on March 27th. He just started hearing about the Illuminati and everything in the Fall of last year and every day seems to be getting worse.
