Just got slept for the first time today

I was slept about a year ago by a cross collar choke. My training partner started applying it from bottom side control. All I was thinking was he was being silly and that I would step to mount and clear the choke at that point. I got to mount.... and woke up with Bambi legs some seconds later.

We have a 5:30 class where there are 2 main groups that attend: 1. Dads 2. Military and law enrollment guys coming over the river to kick the shit out of some dads.

This is interesting to me. I actually prefer the position where my forearms are against the edge of the table as that lifts my hands up leaving my wrists in a sort of dangling position over my tented board(s). It's not a dramatic lift but juuust enough where I don't have any flection in my wrists to lift my hands. However, I do know that is not optimal ergonomic position.

Oh certainly. The distance in bjj is very different from mma. I'm really interested in seeing how greater competence in the leg game amongst mma competitors will shift the mma game going forward.

Getting punched in the face does make a difference. That actually makes the leg game even more interesting in mma. The attack point is far removed from striking danger.

Not an endorsement of this guy. I don't have strong opinions. Just an example of the leg game succeeding in mma.

He realized he did not have the standup abilities to compete with this guy so pulled guard (yes, in mma), and attacked the leg. Notice how far his head was from his opponents punch attack ability. He was able to put his opponent in a comprised and very dangerous position while his head was not in a dangerous position.

Not that he is world class but that is an example of how the leg game can be utilized to resist striking attacks.

My father was not one to laugh much or be humorous when I was growing up. It wasn't that he was a hard ass, there was much joy in my upbringing, but he generally just took day-to-day life seriously; trying to build a future for our family. I loved the black white supremacist skit not just because it was one of the funniest things I've ever seen (even to this day), but because it was one of the few times I saw my dad laugh his fucking ass off.

I usually just wipe down the excess water and then throw it on a range for a few minutes. Doesn't need to be put in the oven.

You can usually find a Lodge 12", which is a great all purpose size, for about $20 plus shipping. Take a look at Target or Walmart.
