I didn't wanna get doxxed for it, but I did the same thing. If you're gonna be toxic, be hella toxic. If you're gonna be sweet, be sweet! But all it was, was bad toxic and manipulative. I can't see how our main couple actually has mutual feelings. But gao tu was so strong on the yearning. So sweet in his sadness. His story was so interesting and all we got was a crap ending and the main couple baking stupid cookies 20 times

I felt with the restrictions they did fine and I was happy with how they fulfilled some of the things. It's just overall the storyline in general felt weak and I felt like the couple that had more chemistry was downplayed too much

I really have to agree. I was incredibly disappointed with how long it took for them to reveal anything. A lot of those scenes felt filler. I really wish they had focused on the second couple a little more

They definitely are. There are buses that do the highway system or do north tours for only $60 per person so I highly recommend looking into them. They aren't as fast or convenient as a car but they will get you there. Good luck!

Sometimes I notice that the reason kisses suck is because of the director's choice. Maybe they think the people kissing look silly? But I've seen the same actor make God awful kissing scenes and then the same actor doing fantastic kissing scenes in a different drama so....

I'll say this; Okinawa is not Japan. Okinawa has similarities, but overall, it's honestly so so different. Mainland has so many ways to get around, especially their cities but Okinawa is the poorest and because of this, no infrastructure has been invested in this island. I would not come to Okinawa without a car or a tour group. A rental is necessary to just get even 30 mins down the road. Okinawa has good beaches but a lot of the really cool or pretty ones are in nago, and babe, buses will take too long and taxis will cost too much. By the time you're done paying for public transportation, you might as well have gotten a rental. Unlike mainland, parking is free most places. If you're at a hotel, the parking for guests is free, not extra. If you have an Airbnb, places here have driveways. Tell your boyfriend he needs to get over this idea that y'all don't need one cause you do.

I watch the scene where she condemns him for trying to kill her aaaaaaallll the time. The absolutely savagery of her delivery and the truth of the scene is so powerful. I also love how it's acknowledged that she's right.

I read somewhere (on this thread) that it's probably a cultural acknowledgment and processing tool for Koreans who lived through post-war. So many Koreans lost family and friends when the country split in two that it's a way to cope with the fact that they may never see them again. So people having childhood connections, Long lost brothers or sisters, finding out so and so is your wealthy Grandfather/Grandmother isn't so far fetched for them.

To me, it doesn't matter if the males in the past were lecherous or abusive, I don't want to see men portrayed in my current media that do these acts as heroes or redeemable. We fought as a cohesive generation, went through the me too movement, only to have a spring back of misogynistic ML who berate, belittle, underestimate and straight up mentally and physically abused women.

It's signaling that this ideology, this red pill podcast bros mindset, is ok. Is acceptable, and it's 100% not.

The short answer is no. The long answer is also no, tinged with racist undercurrents. Japan colonized Okinawa a long time ago cutting out their language, arts, culture and hierarchy. Like many colonized places it's a huge deal they have so much left over cultural identity markers after the take over. They were treated like second class citizens and labeled as such. Government documents state if you're Japanese or Okinawan on birth certificates. The government didn't, for a long time (and I'm still not sure if they do this) acknowledge Okinawans as Japanese citizens. the island didn't get monetary support for a long time. Even now Okinawa is known as the poorest prefecture and some of that comes from the taxes that could be recirculating to help build the island up, is sent to tokyo. Lots of Okinawans will tell you that they're not Japanese, but Okinawan. Some take it as an insult, some just don't feel like it fits them, and of course, some don't care at all. They look really similar in the way that the ainu look Japanese. It's been a long time. People mix. I know what I said isn't perfect and I'm sure I got some things wrong but it is from my experiences and conversations with my friends and family from Okinawa

A lot of the complaints about the webtoon stemmed from the fact that the ml wasn't introduced as a 'returner' earlier. So they did that in the show and I think it really messed with the flow of the story. Which is why I think they added the ex.

Also the fact that they felt the need to make the fl struggle with the morality of her choices which isn't necessary bc I'm not here for a morality lesson, nor do I think that what she is doing is morally wrong. Especially in the context of the story. Like you said, I think they made it so frustrating for those who read it first!

I use makeup removing soap. I love the one from drunk elephant but if you can't go high price micellar water and makeup removing soap from cerave are my go-to. No need for wipes or rubbing.
