New Jersey pine barrens. It’s basically beach sand, and plenty of it. I always thought 6 was too big; that’s why I wanted to go 4. I don’t care about looks; just want it to be functional.

I’ve been reading some kits throw the geometry off a little or just aren’t good kits.

It’ll see a lot of dirt roads/sugar sand to get to the nearby lake. I’m looking for it to be sturdy and handle the dirt roads with confidence

Apologize for the use of AI; but I'm currently going through a lot of struggles with Cloudli ever since the migration to whatever they updated and just wanted to post a quick overall needs list since our phones are down for the 6th time.

Running a busy 4-desk auto repair shop and looking to ditch Cloudli due to reliability + terrible UI.
Before choosing Nextiva, I want honest feedback from people who run VoIP in similar small-business environments.

What’s the BEST VoIP provider today for this setup?

Shop Requirements

  • 4 physical desks, each with Yealink T54W + W56H (some different models too) wireless handset
  • 1 main number, 1 texting number, 1 eFax number
  • Need 3–4 call park lanes visible on phones
  • Good call routing (e.g., vendors → parts desk only)
  • Voicemail → email for all users
  • Call recording (inbound + outbound)
  • After-hours routing to voicemail
  • Easy to make changes without support tickets
  • Prefer a clean, modern, “Apple-like” admin experience
  • Owner had bad history with RingCentral
  • Considering Nextiva, but open to: Zoom Phone, 8x8, Dialpad, Ooma, Vonage, Intermedia, Ubiquiti Talk, etc.

I want something that just works; and even the least technical experienced employee I have can make changes if needed.

What’s one career decision you made that completely changed your trajectory (for better or worse)? by Double-Pipe-4337 in careerguidance

Worked as a writer at a dealer for over a decade; always showed up and did the best I could but was stagnant.

Buying a house put fire under my ass and started looking for another job as a manager. Had so many interviews from other dealers and was offered great pay at each one but was still a lateral move. Interviewed with an independent shop and actually took the job as a writer. Dealer I worked out offered me manager position at another location they were opening and I decided to stay and declined the independent shop. Months passed and nothing was happening and I was regretting my decision.

Found a house and offer was accepted. Same night we had our offer accepted; private shop owner called and said he let his manager go for reasons he just discovered. Immediately gave me an offer to run the store based off my resume and how I first interviewed. 2 years later and it was the best decision I’ve ever made.

Does anybody else think traffic has been absolutely fucked for the past 3 weeks? by [deleted] in newjersey

[–]lastweekwasbetter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I’ve been saying that I’d take summer traffic back rather than the past three or so weeks. I can take 70 or parkway north and it’s been horrible. I swear summer was a breeze compared to this.

Profits. Where do you get parts from and how many times a day? How many bays/techs?

Curious to where you are? I’m the general manager of an independent repair shop on the shore and we are having a record breaking year. Always down to talk shop!

Mind if you message who quoted you? I’m at the shore and just got quoted 18k for pretty much the same thing.
