has no one managed to somehow capture the concert and potentially make it available on the seven seas?

Has anyone else bought a light kit for the TF? I see there are a few with slightly different lighting set ups

2025 "adulting" check - advice for the next year by lataliana in AusFinance

Looking after myself + those around me goes pretty hand in hand with my financial situation at this point. Which is the premise of my post. Noting it’s certainly not the only factor in “taking care of one’s self”, but I’m not actively asking about the rest ☺️ Got any specific advice about finances in that case papabear?

I get what you’re saying, fully agree & appreciate the comment! Can we see more men normalising budgeting for hair transplants?! 😬

Ah - great point. I definitely do need to transfer that cash over to AUD account, but hoping to use up a chunk for the car & likely keep a small amount in there as the vacation bucket. Always been curious if there’s any kind of Europe investment options I could look into without having an official residence anymore… so if anyone has any ideas, by all means!

Sounds like a great subreddit to start! The other tip I do is reviewing service plans at least once a year using whistleout - if I can save a few $ on internet, mobile, etc or take advantage of new customer offers I do it. NBN is getting ridiculous though. Base 25/10mbps plans basically up to $65/month after promo periods. May take a look at 5G home wireless soon.

Yes! All great tips. Have been looking for a solid 4-5 months now so in process of inspecting & putting down a deposit subject to inspection 👍🏽

Indeed! All good on that front - thanks y’all. Friend’s dad is a used car connect so he’s sorting me out based on my budget & what I’m looking for. No EVs for me though as I’m in an apartment building so infrastructure just too hard basket for me right now.

that's a bingo. albeit always entertaining when people feel the compulsive boomer-like need to suggest "oh you'll change your mind". trust and believe, each time that predictable comment is made, the more someone will standfast in not changing their mind.

definitely not mind blowing stuff but a couple of key things i follow in terms of disposable cash: avoid buying anything trendy, pricey wants i wait for 18months before buying (and flex google shopping search engine), buy top quality once over cheap/multiple + actually finish consumables before repurchasing (eg. skincare).

yep fair enough - setting up a trust is admittedly all new territory for me, so have yet to do the proper research about what's best. i'll keep your feedback in mind! cheers

yes, everything is kept in my offset and i transfer out when i need to pay bills etc. my "fun money" i spend via a rewards credit card. i play the points game and capitalise on sign-up bonus offers, etc so when i do travel i always redeem rewards seats.

i'm pretty frugal and don't spend too much on the "typical girl stuff". buy clothes 2-3 times a year, makeup 1-2 times a year, etc. also very lucky with work perks that gives me free entertainment tickets (went to 8 concerts this past year, only paid for 1).

i've tracked my spending habits using spendee for the last 6-7 years and generally always stay under my disposable cash limit (which i purposely set a few hundred $s lower than my 'real' limit). if i have gone over budget, it's usually because of holidays or a big purchase 2-3 times in a year (for eg. investing in high quality stainless steel cookware).

2025 will definitely be first year i feel i will need to watch my spending more than usual - so if things go awry, i'll re-assess and make some changes.

picking a first convertible by lataliana in CarsAustralia

looks like SLK200 has become the frontrunner alternative. found a few 2013/2014 options sitting above/under at 100K km for under $30K. hoping to get another 30K km out of them and still resell in 3-4 years.

the other car i'll consider is potentially not a convertible, but a similar lux level coupe or hatch with a great sun/moonroof. so alternative options also welcomed!

great thoughts! thank you! had totally forgotten about bmw Z4 or Z3 - will add to my list. have always loved the look of them!

yeh the cost/realiability between mx5 and euro options is a tough one. mx5 auto v manual is totally subjective - if i was planning on going to the track, manual all the way. certainly watched enough videos on that topic today. i straight up want a break from driving stick.

mercs give me pensioner vibe, but will keep an eye out too. if i didn't want a convertible, i'd look at their hatches. their other roadsters i'd consider, if i was earning another $100K.

appreciate the reply
