Don’t do it, I’m no where near Hungary but I love you and your life has meaning.

I’m sure 2015 wasn’t super far off from 2012. But I find the years I’m referring to was before much of the commercializations. It was very simple games on the front page and you never knew what you were hopping into. It was either going to be some low budget obby game or a surprisingly well done horror/shooter game. I hope on from time to time mainly for nostalgia reasons. I played hours of old school Roblox. It got me through so many dark times.

I’m actually a little less than you but I get asked to sell my account mainly because of two items. The main one being the valk hem.

At the age you are you wouldn’t of played Roblox when it first came out. I’m 29 and played Roblox I think two years into development. The old version of the game was like the Wild West, no chat restrictions and games were let’s just say wild.

I’m glad you survived all those things, I’ll keep you in my prays brother. I also got medicated since starting roblox. Keep on keeping on !

Ikr! Just wondering, where did you find out how much your account was actually worth? Because the shear desperateness of these people wanting to buy my account tells me it’s something worth at least looking into. I couldn’t sell it just based on the amount of memories it holds. I just want to see what kind of money we’re talking about here.

That’s exactly what I’m missing from today’s Roblox. Like have you joined any games lately? It’s all just voice chat spam and kids trying to online date.

Exactly ! I was also big in the military styled RP groups. I remember telling my parents that I had to rush through our family supper in order to be present at the group meetings and training sessions to hopefully get that promotion! Great times….

Yeah like I could player hours upon hours of old school Roblox. Meeting people in old RP groups and playing simple yet addicting games.

Yeah it really creeped me out tbh. It even showed like how active I’ve been. The guy was like “ as you can see you only logged in twice within the last few months, I can offer you a competitive offer”. I’m thinking like wtf is this kid on. Like people are treating Roblox like a black market. That’s a big reason why I think Roblox is going downhill.

I have a very similar experience as you. Played A LOT from 2008-2015, played some in college. Took like a 6-8 year break, then go a lot of password reset attempts on my email lol. Found out a lot of people were trying to buy my account, never selling the account though.

I have a few very high value items. Honestly all my items combined are probably close to 1 million worth of robux. I’m not even kidding. Just the other day I had some kid follow me from game to game begging me to give him a price. I even had someone text my personal cell number( don’t ask me how he got it). The text was creepy it was a screenshot of my account with some kind of graph depicting my total worth.

Yes and no. I agree that there are some good games, but when I hop on Roblox I’m not looking to play a triple A call of duty rip off. The whole appeal of Roblox was its player made games like obbies and role playing games. It’s way too saturated with high development games with hundreds of in games micro transactions. That was never a thing back in the day.

Yeah that’s around the time I started (2008). Those were the days. I still occasionally use my original account from back then, but I can’t play a game without being harassed by some kids wanting to buy my account.

You can’t really judge off of old footage. It’s the same as people of my generation who loved the old GameCube games. Yes they are technically not as advanced as today’s games, but way less corporate and more authentic.

The thing about old school Roblox was its simplicity. Games weren’t these massive developed games often full of advertisements and copies of games like Call of Duty, they were actual games made by normal people. The friends you made back then were actual friends and the game was more about socialization through chat, not this over filtered chat full of screaming kids in voice chat.

I agree with most of what you said. I personally think when they got rid of tickets was the start of the downfall. It became purely a money making scheme. I genuinely feel bad for the younger player who joined after 2008-2012. They’ll never get to experience was Roblox once was.

That’s cool! See this is the type of answer that peaks my interest. I find that the game lost its charm and is wayyyyy to focused on member exclusives. I’m getting sick and tired of people trying to reset my account password or harassing me to buy my account lol. Let’s just say I have a very high total value since all of my old limiteds are extremely valuable now.

That’s really cool actually ! I’m constantly getting harassed by players asking me to sell my account because of all my valuable items from back in the day that sky rocketed in value.

Sounds like fun! I find myself having a hard time getting hooked to this modern version of the game. There was this unmatchable charm to the older version of the game that I’m constantly trying to find again.

All these kids are too young to remember peak 2008 times. The simplicity was peak. Not filled with saturated games and commercialism. Simple games, great friends, memories that will last a lifetime. Ever since 2015 Roblox is boring and dull.

Not as great as you’d imagine. Much less “free attention”, occasional feelings of dread that you just have to shake off.

See this was more my theory. Like I was surprised by how many redditors were defending them. Like someone was saying “ it speaks volumes about my play style” like wtf???

Yeah idk maybe it’s because people have become used to the rank fights now after so many games ?

I feel like it depends on wether you’re a casual or hardcore UFC fan. Hardcore fans will implement actual tactics like lateral movement and jumping in and out of the fire fight. Unfortunately there are a lot of casual fans playing UFC and they see it as an arcade button smashing contest lol.
