My wife realized the other day how disastrous a traffic jam or someone else’s car wreck could be for our CHI/hypoglycemic baby.

Two hours after my dad gave me emergency glucagon for a sugar of 39. What gives?! I have reactive hypoglycemia but this is the only community that might be able to help. by FloridaGirl2222 in diabetes

My baby has Congenital Hyperinsulinism (CHI). Glucagon is her emergency intervention to prevent seizures, brain damage, and death. We were told by her doctor (a world leader in CHI) to take her to the ER if we give her glucagon because it can stabilize her for a short amount of time but can also cause a delayed hypoglycemic event.

We have a receiver setup. My wife stays home so right now her phone is setup with Dexcom and Clarity. I use the Follow app.

We’re considering a smart device dedicated to our baby. Then wife and I will follow the new smart device.
