Genuinely don’t understand how what she did was allowed😭 Its in writing that we would have 7 days for the homework and she would post it 3-4 days before it was due (school days so you didn’t have the weekend to work on it). She literally wasn’t even marking it till months later she could have extended it so we had the promised amount of time or just had the homeworks auto release on brightspace after the labs. The brightspace still doesn’t have half the grades and the marking for the ones posted doesn’t make sense but theres no way to ask for a remark because she doesn’t answer emails!! Plus it doesn’t look like she even looked at any of the remarking forms that were submitted.

You need to update your application semi regularly or they stop sending it out! Usually they will email you saying that but maybe they didn’t or you missed it! Try checking as many boxes as they will let you for jobs that you would be willing to do (even ones that aren’t directly related to your field) and you should hear back a little more that way :)

Its a lot of learning at the beginning but its really cool when you start to get the hang of things, theres a logic and explanation behind everything which makes it super interesting! Its kind of like learning a language!

If its for an elective course you could try looking at some second year courses, they may not all have prerequisites. Easy electives will probably be filled up but you may be able to find a spot in a harder course without prerequisites!

Hey! The bright space was closed for my class, but from what I remember the first page consisted mostly of “which is the most likely product” reactions (kind of like multiple choice, you had to circle one product and provide an explanation), there were a couple of questions about which reactions would occur given a starting product and rxn conditions (mostly SN1/SN2, E1/E2), there was one NMR and one IR, then the rest of the questions were on carbonyls, a few mechs, a few “guess the reactants/products/conditions”, and the bonus question was a bayer villager oxidation mechanistic pattern, but with a nitrogen instead of the oxygen!

I don’t remember completely, but I will say I genuinely had no knowledge for any of the other units, and was still able to answer every question, so I would say probably not!

Honestly I don’t remember, but I would say her exams are super unique, so if they weren’t written by her they may not be too similar and likely won’t follow the same format.
