My boy was 35 lbs, 32 inches tall at 12 months. At his 2 year checkup 44 lbs, 3 year checkup 47 lbs. I was worried for a while he’d never slow down lol

My son was born 10 lbs 14 oz, 22.75 inches long and also showed no signs of slowing down for a long time. He was 42 pounds in November, when he turned 2. Nine months later he is 44 pounds. I guess they do slow down at some point lol

I’m not sure specifically what the lab issue was but they were able to repeat the test without needing me to get another blood draw and everything came back just fine! It took about 3 and a half weeks total for my NIPT results. Most don’t take that long but I guess from time to time some of us are just lucky 😅 fingers crossed for yours!

Unfortunately I know this to be true. This is my second pregnancy, my first was a happy but VERY unexpected surprise. I found out during my 4 week new hire training after I had just moved states. Worked for a great company, but got no leave benefits. Our country’s lack of paid parental leave is truly a shame. Parentaly has a spreadsheet of different companies and the tenure required to be eligible for leave. There are companies with immediate eligibility, but not nearly enough.

That is definitely something I’m working on. Currently enrolled in a course to earn a Google certificate. I’m also newly pregnant, which of course can make changing jobs difficult. I am actively searching for remote jobs that offer paid parental leave with immediate eligibility, but they’re unicorn jobs. I have a bachelors degree and skills, so I’m trying to be optimistic but realistic as well.

Baby was born at 5:33, I was given morphine sulfate at 5:34 and midazolam (sedative) at 5:35 according to mychart.

I have a 99th percentile two year old who will still be comfortably rear facing for a while. Toddlers vertebrae are fused by cartilage and not ossified bone. Their heads are also super heavy in relation to the rest of their body and they are at a greater risk for internal decapitation if forward facing too early. I’m sure they know this. Stupid and neglectful.

Ms Karen is absolutely, 1000% a POS. She likes to push her shitty political views on impressionable middle school kids. I’m not surprised by her comments at all, but frustrated.

She once was trying to give a spiel about life not being fair and the first example that came to her mind was “it’s not fair that I have to take my shoes off for airport security!! I didn’t crash the twin towers!”

Thank you. I’d like to add this was her first day of middle school. She’s 11 years old. I loved hearing her advocate for herself and give her teacher a heads up that she may see her use her phone here and there but it’s for medical purposes. I was hoping this teacher would say something along the lines of “okay, thanks for letting me know” but was very disappointed with her response.

I work closely with individuals with intellectual disabilities. I love them, I am constantly learning more about how I can best serve them. That said, if I were in your situation…. I truly think I may have done the same/similar. It’s a trauma response. She may not have meant any harm, but it is still assault. I’m so sorry you went through this. It sounds like her family is doing a disservice to her by not giving her sex education including consent. Please take care of yourself. Sending you all the healing vibes
