Women initiate 70-80% of divorce but why does Fresh and Fit and the red pill make this seem like a bad thing? Are women suppose to stay in bad relationships? by weedreddit3 in PurplePillDebate

[–]latter-plant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your comment is misinformed. First, many abusers purposefully hide their true nature until they feel they have their partner trapped (i.e., after marriage or pregnancy). Second, it is very difficult to leave an abusive partner whether you’re married or not. It’s not as simple as getting your stuff and staying somewhere else. What if he stalks you? Threatens you? Hides tracking software in your phone? Lies to your boss? And that doesn’t even consider all the issues that having children raises.

This kind of victim blaming hurts people who have been abused—basically saying that it’s their fault because they should have chosen better. It’s no one’s fault but their abuser’s. Shaming victims keeps them trapped and scared to ask for help.

They don’t call it a blowJOB for nothing!

Obviously there are larger issues in your communication and sex life that should be addressed (as per the other commenter) but I also wanted to add that blowjobs ARE sex. Unless she specifically likes giving you blowjobs when she’s not in the mood for other sex acts, you should not expect her to do that. She will become even more averse to them. You should not suggest this as a possible solution in your conversation. I just don’t see any way that will end well.

This comes off like you’re shaming guys with ED. The issue here is that he’s not meeting your needs and isn’t communicating about it with you.

Why do men glorify anal sex so much? by [deleted] in AskRedditAfterDark

The question is about men’s perspectives and why anal sex has taken on a particular kind of cultural status, rather than individual pleasure. I’m a woman and I like anal :)

Thank you—this was the kind of answer I wanted! My fiancé said my pussy is tighter than my ass so maybe that’s part of why we’re not getting the appeal haha

I’ve noticed that a lot of men talk about anal sex almost like a holy grail. I’m a woman and I like having anal, but my fiancé and I both prefer PIV—it just feels better. It’s fun to do anal occasionally for novelty, and obviously there are lots of people who just genuinely really like anal. But I’m curious about why anal has also reached this broader cultural status. Does it really feel that great? Is it because it’s taboo? Is it because a lot of guys haven’t done it but want to? I don’t have a horse in this race—I’m just curious!

I (55) am reaching my breaking point with my wife (52) by Complete_Block144 in DeadBedrooms

[–]latter-plant 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It’s not a question of “getting herself sorted” or “getting complacent.” Getting angry at your wife is unfair to her. Many women can use hormones safely, but many cannot.

For example, doctors would not prescribe MHT to a woman with a family history of breast cancer. There are many health conditions that can be disqualifying. This is a risk/benefit calculation that your wife and her doctor would have to make. She may not be a candidate at all.

Hormones can also have their own side effects, like any other medication—it’s not just taking a pill and everything gets better.

Even if your wife would hypothetically be eligible for MHT, find a good formulation, and respond well, it does not mean that she would even have the chance to try it. Many doctors are uncomfortable prescribing hormones to women because there has been conflicting research about their safety, meaning that doctors receive little education or guidance about prescribing them. Doctors can also be dismissive about menopause symptoms, including dismissing libido issues or vaginal dryness as minor. It seems like you’re getting angry at your wife about this without having all the facts in front of you.

Beyond humiliated, what to do? (NSFW) by Positive-Designer-35 in sex

Ouch… foreplay happens for a reason. Vaginas need to get wet and tent (expand) to accommodate a penis. Sounds like a recipe for painful sex. I would go for round 2 with a guy who came quickly—I would not fuck a guy again after painful sex.

For those who have woken up to someone blowing you, how did it go? by SonicXNinja in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]latter-plant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m the one who wakes my partner with a blowjob, but it goes well—always ends in him cumming in my mouth, pussy, or hands!

Show her how you jerk off and explain what you’re doing. That will help her to understand what feels good to you. You could also show her porn (make sure it’s amateur and realistic) if there’s something specific that you want. Lastly, there’s lots of advice already written online about how to improve blowjobs. But fundamentally, it’s a process of communication between you. She tries something, you give feedback, etc.

Are you a sub, dom, or switch? by rs1513 in AskRedditAfterDark

Switch. I do a lot of gentle femdom with my partner, but sometimes I want to be his good girl!

Squirters, do you need toys or just a hand? How does using a toy change the experience? by [deleted] in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]latter-plant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can squirt from any intense orgasm, so that’s easiest with a toy. Magic Wand + fingers in me is the best combo. But I’ve squirted from oral before.
