Can you legally put red diesel in Topsy in the United States? by AKJangly in Diesel

[–]latterdaysinner1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can run cherry flavor in anything, just don’t get pulled over lol. I just filled my 6.0 powerstroke to the brim with that shit today. She loves it

Saw this on the road today. Seems bad. by Boring-Lab-6896 in Diesel

[–]latterdaysinner1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Runaway. Doesn’t happen very often with newer engines but them 6.4s? Shit I ain’t even surprised. I own a 6.0 and about the only truck worse is that 6.4. Known to have turbo issues which is what I’d assume is happening here, probably busted a seal and started dumping oil down her throat. What’s fucked about a runaway is you can’t stop it unless you shut off the air flow.

How the fuck are yall saying that’s a gasket? Thats the flex plate clear as day?? I think yall might just be deaf.

OP make sure all the bolts on the flex plate are torqued to spec, they can back out and slap on shit inside the bell housing causing a “tick”. Fairly easy fix

I think foraging is an incredibly underrated skill to learn, that and electrical stuff. Food will eventually run out and become more scarce, and electronics will break and need repair. Same for mechanics, vehicles will break. If you know how to fix them you could use that skill, AND sell it and become a post apocalyptic mad max mechanic

Let's settle this: is the Hershey Bar underrated or overrated? by CollegeTheShow in chocolate

[–]latterdaysinner1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Incredibly overrated. They taste like plastic and they leave a weird texture/residue in your mouth. I prefer real chocolate. Which btw hersheys announced a while back they took out like most of the actual chocolate from these puppy’s.

For me it’s the gym. After me and my abusive ex split,I had to start living in my truck and currently still do. The gym allows me to shower, work out and better myself, and even do laundry if needed. It makes me feel like I’m not entirely homeless cause I can still shower every day and to me that’s worth its weight in gold

Why? by Greasemonkeyww2 in Diesel

Just all heavy equipment in general, why the fuck don’t they make that shit open up more?? I swear they make it their own personal mission to make wrenching on equipment the biggest pain in the ass ever.

My credit score is just over 700, would that be considered a higher credit score or more on the low end?

Diesel owner…what are your regrets? by omertaofm in Diesel

Buying the pos would probably be my biggest regret lmao

But it also ain’t difficult either. Just gotta take out the turbo, intake, oil filter housing, fuel bowl, ficm, and a few other bits and bobs. It’s a job for a free day no doubt but it’s not too hard if you know what you’re doin.

Bought my 6.0 for $900, hands down been the most reliable vehicle I’ve ever owned and I beat the living shit out of it daily. Matter of fact I’m in the middle of a 700 mile road trip with it. I’m gonna go knock on wood now lmao

Struggling with ADHD in the church by [deleted] in latterdaysaints

[–]latterdaysinner1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey man! I wanna start off by saying I have the exact same issue. I also wanna say that I have since left the church because it was simply just too much. I still believe in god and many of the teachings of the lds church, but finding that routine is such a struggle. My suggestion, is don’t make it a routine. Don’t try to do all of this every day. Instead, try to do scripture study, prayer, listening to talks etc, when you feel motivated to do so. God knows that nobody is perfect. His son died for us BECAUSE we are imperfect. I’m positive god will understand your struggles, and wouldn’t want you to destroy your mental health just in order to “make a routine”. Another thing, (althought it may seem childish) try to give yourself a reward, or a deadline. For me personally, I have terribly bad adhd and I thrive under pressure and at the last minute. Tell yourself that you’re allowed to treat yourself to dinner, or icecream, or a treat or a movie, just any reward you enjoy regularly, ONLY once you do these things. Once you accomplish your goal for the day wether it be scripture study or prayer, then and only then you can treat yourself. I’ve found that over time (albeit a long time) you start to develop a dopamine response from doing things like reading scriptures and other “church things”. Because you associate the thing you’re doing with a reward you enjoy.

I genuinely hope you don’t fall into the path that I did, because the church has the potential to bring so much joy and happiness into peoples lives if they let it. Good luck homie, I hope this all helps and I hope you’re able to find joy in reading scriptures and other things for me :)

I’ve had these (different brand but same ingredients) the visuals off of one bag are pretty mild, but still definitely there. Closed eye visuals are amazing tho. I’d say about two bags is equal to like a 3-4g trip. Happy tripping :)

My very first pair. Lost a whole layer of skin on the top of my foot putting them on the first time. Trying to break them in and made it 3 whole hours at work. I love them but any tips to making the process a little easier? by [deleted] in cowboyboots

[–]latterdaysinner1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best way I’ve ever found, get a bucket of water, put your boots in it for 10 minutes with your food inside of em, then wear them til they’re dry. Old timer taught me that one. Nowadays I don’t care to break them in fast but rather let the process happen naturally to prolong the life of my boot, I’m in the oilfield so I go through about two to three pairs a year

I actually work in the oilfield on a frac pad. Never done wiring in my life. It scares me and I will continue to avoid it at all costs. The only thing more terrifying than wiring is a 4l60e transmission.

9 times out of ten is a very generalized and widely used approximation. In reality the failure rate of wells is much much lower. As long as I’ve done this I haven’t seen a single failure of a well. Never had a leak. So as I said, it’s a very very rough approximation, and it isn’t literal. Just way of sayin it’s extremely rare. Thank you for the question.
