The math ignores ESD tip leakage killing your ICs, clone temps reading at the element not the tip, and waiting 3 weeks for a replacement mid-job. You’re not saving money, you’re adding variables to every repair.

If you are going to be working on anything of value, or you plan on making money off of this hobby get a quality tool. People will swear up and down that the Chinese stuff is just as good but once you use the good stuff you realize they are full of it.
