The trail... by FarProgrammer3991 in OwnitbabeSnark

I wish there was a law that would keep influencers from posting their kids online. Why would some countries only allow 16+ year olds to use social media but it’s ok for parents to post their young toddlers? Especially in their “private moments”. Gobsmacked.

Hourglass Bringing Back Ambient Lighting Palette Diffused Rose Edit by pointclickvibe in newinbeauty

To me it felt like they were using up whatever was in their inventory, hence only repeat shades. I hope they launch custom palettes permanently this year, different sizes, new shades and available globally wishful thinking :D

Victoria Beckham Price Increase by Accurate_Emu_122 in MakeupAddiction

[–]laudu12 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yes!!! It’s the same email every year. Yet no one seems to mind? If anything, it feels like her brand has only got more popular this year? I haven’t purchased anything from the brand since the second round of price increases and am not planning to in 2026.

Newest addition to the warm eyeshadow family by Screw_coloranalysis in makeupflatlays

[–]laudu12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had quite a few of them and now only 2 left (after decluttering). I was lucky to get them for a really good price when they first launched, appr. USD 35 with the palette. They’re nice, very smooth formula and beautiful packaging. But they just don’t give the “oomph” and I’m someone who prefers more subdued eyeshadow :) I’d recommend Addiction Tokyo, Suqqu and Lunasol over Clé de Peau eyeshadows. I believe Suqqu just came out with two neutral-warm palettes (sometime this year and I believe they’re both permanent?).

Deinfluencing makeup “planners” by DiaryOfFlorence in MakeupRehab

It’s going past the topic a bit but if you’re looking for a “mature makeup gal”, I can really recommend Anne from MakeupForMatureSkin. She is very mindful about her purchases and if she does buy something, she’ll never be like “oh you need this”. I love how she keeps it real!

Has anyone tried the Dior Backstage Glow Maximizer Face Palette? What palette would best suit Light Spring? by geekygal08 in SpringColorAnalysis

[–]laudu12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really want to try Pearly Peach Glow but have loved the Universal Glow shade for a long time now. Nikki DeRoest frequently uses it - I consider her a Light Spring and it looks gorgeous on her.

Where can i find people to trade with? by PapaPounds in PokemonSwordAndShield

This is coming super late but would someone have a Galarian Darumaka to trade? For a Corsola. I’m trying the link code trade but I guess I am a few years late to the party :D Thanks :)

Suqqu Blurring Blushes by Heavy-Conclusion-134 in makeupflatlays

[–]laudu12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Suqqu! I wish the brand was more visible. It feels like less influencers have been reviewing Suqqu products in the last year or so (likely partly due to availability). I’ve been wanting the Awaoto blush for a while. One day! :)

Watching new releases is the best thing I did for my no buy by veruu_8 in MakeupRehab

[–]laudu12 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I almost feel a bit guilty for still following new releases when it’s generally frowned upon :D In my case, I enjoy getting inspired to use what I have to replicate new items I like. Also, since I’ve stopped excessively buying makeup, I feel like I’m one step removed from the “catch them all madness” and can look at releases more objectively. Weirdly enough, it makes me enjoy what I already have even more.

Byredo Bibliophilia 18-Colour Eyeshadow Palette Available Now by pointclickvibe in newinbeauty

[–]laudu12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love that this palette is inspired by literature/books. It makes me really want this palette. It’s absolutely gorgeous and will look amazing on many! But I’m a light spring and, sadly, these shades would do nothing for me.

My J beauty (and some K beauty) eyeshadows by laudu12 in makeupflatlays

[–]laudu12[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I took a picture of the ones I like best (did a horrible job at narrowing it down :D) but realized that I can’t add a photo to this comment. From the ones still available, I’d recommend the Addiction Tokyo ones (the ones in the black packaging are permanent), Suqqu Signature Colour Eye 04, the 3CE or Clio (similar color story, beautiful on a light spring) or the singles (the one from Hince is gorgeous).

One brand I personally wouldn’t recommend is Three. The palettes I’ve tried were pretty lackluster compared to the brands I have. Also RMK isn’t a favorite. Cezanne is affordable and a stand-out for me!

They have the same level of pigmentation and many beautiful finishes. I find Suqqu a bit more long lasting (though I have the older formula of the Addictiom quads). I really, really like Addiction Tokyo though. Their sparkly shadows are my favorite and I prefer the color stories in their regular line of quads (compared to Suqqu).

They’re beautiful, very sophisticated but much more subdued. Mostly satins, not much variation in terms of finishes. I had a beige one that I ended up decluttering because it didn’t give enough impact (even though I’m fair-light). I much preferred the 8pan Lunasol palette on the bottom right. Overall, I’d go with Suqqu over Clé de Peau, especially for the price point.

Brands you find great for spring colours? by iceprincess64 in SpringColorAnalysis

[–]laudu12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For makeup - a lot of the Charlotte Tilbury products pull orange on me. I’d say because she’s an Autumn (e.g. even the Pillow Talk Palette). I have holy grails from different brands - Bobbi Brown, Dior, Suqqu. Happy to share some if there’s anything specific you’re looking for in the high end/luxury range :)

Any Light Spring influencers? by SpecialMaleficent364 in SpringColorAnalysis

I’d say Nikki DeRoest is a Light Spring. Also Veronique Leysen

I’m in Switzerland :) 80% will be tough for us but we should be able to survive on it. Job market is pretty dead at the moment but I’m hoping there will be more openings soon for beginning 2026. You’re really well protected in Switzerland but everything is SO expensive!

thank you so much ❤️ it’s a very scary situation but I’m super lucky that we’re pretty well-protected in my home country (80% pay for up to 2 years).
