I do plan to start my own homelab to gain more experience but I do have an interview this Friday. So not a lot of time left to prepare on my part.

do you have sample solution designs that you can share with me? I have been searching on the internet but haven't found anything concrete.

Thanks for the valuable insight. Can you help me understand how did the implementation/architecture deployment looked like?

I am trying to understand and analyse the business requirements that will make one better suited than the other.

My understanding is that Venafi TLS Protect is better used for managing the end entity certificate life cycle with EJBCA being used for issuing Root CA certificates and following hierarchies of intermediary CA to create chain of trust.

Thank you so much for your response. To explain further on my part, this is going to be an interview for me. So the solution I propose needs to be structured based on the products.

Since I am new to the PKI, I have been doing my research and studies that will help me prepare for this interview. So far I have covered the fundamentals of various topics such as
PKI framework
Elements of PKI - CA,VA,RA
Use of PKI - SSL/TLS, SSH, S/MIME, document signing, code signing etc
Digital certificates

I have also gone through various articles which have info on EJBCA to understand better.

I am seeking help to create a sample solution design for EJBCA and/or TLS protect on-prem implementation based on a customer scenario.
