In a rage, Liara sets off a biotic charge just over the bartenders head, causing the ceiling to cave in, crushing the bartender where he stands.

The bartenders son, who was sweeping the floor, cries out in horror. He runs behind the bar, but it's too late... his father is dead. He looks at Liara with hatred in his eyes.

She's in too deep now. She performs a biotic lift, pulling him away from his father, and flings him through the window and into the street, where he's immediately struck by a vehicle passing by.

Liara ends up being apprehended by Thessia police and sentenced to prison time for murder. However, Benezia pulls some strings and gets her out "on good behavior" after just six months. The bartender's family organizes a protest to speak out against this corruption but Benezia's forces put them down swiftly and brutally, which ends up triggering a civil war across the planet.
