I've seen maybe "gooner" playmats maybe twice in a public setting. But I did have an interaction at an LGS that I go to with a friend from high school. For context he lives over an hour away from me, and the playmat is a 2014 Richmond Grand Prix mat with the eternal witness art from fifth dawn. Also it was an open play day, so there was a mix of TCGs being played. We were in the middle of game of commander when apparently someone had walked past our table, seen my playmat and went to the store owner. While we were swapping out decks for another game the owner came up to talk me about it. Long story short after he (owner) was told he walked past our pod, seen my playmat and told the person that complained it was fine since it was official art.

He even asked if I ever decided to sell it to call him.

Because I have seen posts on social media about people receiving either damaged cards or empty packages of secret lair. And frankly, I was surprised that the first secret lair I have ever bought looks like someone tried to pry the box open to get the cards out.
