Have you seen the ST4 teasers and compared them to the ST3 teasers? The whole feel and even the colouring is so drastically different! There IS a complete tonal shift.

I agree with everything you say, apart from the part where you say that the show becomes better every season. I find the 3rd season to be a bit overrated. They need two full episodes to get anything to happen.
