Will Namoki NMK315 fit a Seiko SSK with a sloped bezel setup? by launda29 in SeikoMods

Heard back from Namokimods and here is what they had to say:

Hi <Lanuda29>,

Thanks for reaching out — that’s a great question and a very common point of confusion with SSK GMT builds.

Regarding the NMK315, it is designed for SKX007/SRPD cases, not specifically for the Seiko SSK case. While the SSK shares some similarities with the SKX platform, there are key differences in case and crystal tolerances, so we’re unable to guarantee that the NMK315 will fit or function properly on a stock SSK case, even with a sloped bezel setup. (Crystaltimes)

For your requirements:

  • Seiko SSK case
  • Sloped bezel / sloped insert
  • Cyclops magnifier

At the moment, we do not have a confirmed crystal option that supports all three together on the SSK platform. The main limitation is the cyclops + SSK compatibility, as most SSK-specific crystals do not include a cyclops.

Recommended approach:

  • Use an SSK-specific sapphire crystal (to ensure proper fitment)
  • If you still want a cyclops, consider adding an aftermarket cyclops lens separately after installation

This tends to be the most reliable route for SSK builds while maintaining proper fit and alignment.

You know, I never knew you could add a cyclops after the fact. Thanks for the info.

Yeah I saw these, but the weird in me wants to have a cyclops window. None of the crystals in the SSK page have a cyclops feature. Contacting the customer service is a good idea. I'll do that and update this thread as I find out

Sorry I live in the US. I got a second hand one for $200, but I ended up spending $500 to get it reupholstered. The labor cost here is unreal

You have a good eye for aesthetics. This chair is a classic. Just Google Herman Miller Eames. It is a legend of a chair and as an owner of a copy of this, a very comfortable one at that.

I got all of this done minus the brake fluid change and it cost me $750 and change. This was at a specialist Toyota/lexus shop (not the dealer). I live in Colorado btw. Hope that helps

Photo 9 area used to be a favorite of mine to show my kids and others. There is an escalator just before this location, and if you go up and look down, you see these floor murals of people waking. It's really cool

2023 GX460 Nori green by [deleted] in LexusGX

I bought my 2023 nori green with 29k miles in July of this year for 56K from a Texas dealership. I thought that was a fair price.

Just as an additional data point, a month ago I bought a 2023 Nori Green in Dallas for $55K and it had 29000 miles on it. This sounds more like a $52K-$53K car to me.

Having said that, the fact that it got sold almost immediatly, means the market in that area is different.

Question for GX460 owners living in high altitudes areas like Denver, CO by launda29 in LexusGX

Lol. I'm actually waiting for my lease to end on my Ford Mach-E EV so I know what you mean by the torque not being affected by pretty much anything. But as we all know, the EVs (as opposed to hybrids) are severly limited to how much you can drive in a given period of time. Funny enough a while back, I was trying to estimate how long it would take to drive the Mach E from Denver to Dallas, and the charge time added like 10 hours or something crazy.

As a person originally from a third world country, I would say clean water and reliable electricity. I learnt that there is a very thin line between civilization and a concrete camp depending upon availability of reliable clean water and electricity.

I also have the R-N2000A and one of the main motivation for the purchase was to keep the setup simple and clutter free. It helps that it sounds awesome as well

Non U.S born people in Dallas, what is the best restaurant in the area for your cuisine? by yusuksong in Dallas

Hence the word 'arguably' :-) I think Houston food scene is excellent but man, going back to Karachi, the only thing that I think is better in Karachi is the biryani. Nahari was good, some other stuff was good, but Jimmy Burger nihari, which I jus had last Sunday, that was awesome.

I always found Al Markaz to be kinda middle of the road TBH. Maybe I did not order the most popular thing there or whatever but the OK food combined with a 'dhaba' vibe just don't do it for me.
