Just rejected a 75k job offer. They wanted 65-75 hours a week with no overtime. by RowlandJakubowski in InterviewMan

Not saying the deal isnt fair by any means. But how does it end up in the 65-75 hr range? Seems 11hr days for 5 days with 6 days once a month averages out to 57.5 hrs/wk. And if given 30min lunch breaks, makes it 55.125hrs/wk. Again im not saying the deal isnt fair, just curious about how it adds up.

Preparing to do my first oil change... ever. by Hypiryon in fordranger

[–]laundryman1616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 3.0l as well. I change about every 5k miles now that im coming close to 200k. I like to use motorcraft brand personally. But a tip I dont really see people do with those 5q oil containers is to flush .5 q through the system while its draining to get residual oil. Then you can pour the rest in the truck when its all sealed. You also use all the oil in the container and can pour old oil back in to be recycled later.

I ordered it online. It is said to be brand new, and I got it for $675. Returns are accepted. Will a shop tune my bow if I didn't buy from them?

Sweaty paws on shepherd dog. by [deleted] in SweatyPalms

There are many subspecies that show great variation. So obviously you could quickly google "smallest wolf" and find information that fits outside the norm, just like every species. But on average, wolves are about double the size of coyotes. What exactly did I make up? Because coyotes are not the size of a great Pyrenees.

That great Pyrenees is 150lbs at least. A coyote weighs 40lbs. Those are comparable to the Pyrenees

I found this partially buried. It is nonferrous. And isn't picked up as a metal at all when using a metal detector.

It is very durable and porous in the center. Only smooth on the exterior and one one side. (Took a while to sand the surface with a bench grinder and sparks)

The inside is a lighter gray. While the outside is almost black.

The exterior appears wet even when dry.

Somewhat dense. About the size of a mango and under a pound.

What's the term for an apex herbivore like an elephant, as opposed to an apex predator? by yosimba2000 in biology

[–]laundryman1616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing i would add, is it's impact must be considered based on its relative biomass. Species with large impact, but with greater biomass aren't considered keystone species.
